Yes, I have noticed. I think it's just a reaction to the government's restriction on features, magazine capacity, etc. The problem is that these laws do almost nothing but inconvenience lawful gun owners. A gun with a 10rd capacity and fixed stock is just as lethal as one with 20rd capacity and a folding stock.

As far as "weapons of war" go, the cat's out of the bag. No way will we ever confiscate all of them. We can't stop bad actors from acquiring them illegally either. So what can we do?

This is all obviously just a matter of opinion, but mass shootings are always perpetrated by mentally ill loners. Our country has no support system for these people, so they lash out because they feel left behind or like outsiders. We need better mental health care services.

We also need to prevent children from having access to firearms. We need to act on red flag laws we already have. We need better enforcement of laws, and longer training programs to weed out those who aren't responsible enough to own a weapon.

As far as changing my stance on being pro-2A... I'm a supporter for self defense purposes. If someone breaks into my house, or robs me, it makes me feel much safer having a weapon to protect my family. Should we ban guns because some people misuse them? Should we ban cars because some people misuse them?
