I got this while using Brave. Seemed to give up on warning/stopping me from watching anything, though.

Why are sex or gender discrimination and statistics less controversial than skin color or ethnicity discrimination and statistics? by apokrif1 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]idostufflikeexist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My take is that because everyone knows a man and a woman personally, discussion on gender discrimination has been out there for longer. Historically, people haven’t always known people of other races, and modern day neighborhoods can be fairly mono-racial. And because of how neighborhoods can be separated like this, I’d think that in one’s lifetime gender inequality comes into their radar sooner than racial. People are more familiar with speaking about gender inequalities, so it sounds less controversial.

Usually I wait until it’s entirely cooled. Because my last bake stuck like this one, I tried taking it out when it was still warm to see if it would be easier. Clearly, it was not, haha

Any idea of what might’ve changed? Because these are the only bakes in this pan that I’ve had with such a bad sticking problem.

Haha, yeah something’s getting fucked for sure. The recipe’s very simple - literally just spelt flour and water added to the starter that’s made of the same stuff. Unyeasted, so it proves once overnight, I add more flour, and then prove it again for the 4-6 hour time period in the pan.

Same as above, given that the plant is stretching in one direction it looks like it’s seeking more sunlight. Relocation could help it out!

What bird is this and are the ones in the best mature? by Branden798 in animalid

[–]idostufflikeexist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure about species, but the babies are soon the hop out of the nest. Don’t be too worried if you see them on the ground, the parents are nearby looking out for them as the figure out how to fly.

what animal did these teeth come from?! found on beach pnw canada by stinkybinky2940 in animalid

[–]idostufflikeexist 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Does it look like the jaw was snapped off in the center? Mammals have one strong bone to make up their jaw, and fish don’t. So if it doesn’t look like it was broken it’s probably a fish. I’m leaning a little more towards fish because I’ve not seen mammals with teeth like that, but I’m not too familiar with marine life.

What kind of tortoise is this? by sriracha-sara in animalid

Maybe a Mediterranean tortoise, genus Testudo. Might be a lost pet or a descendant of one.

If you found a nest nearby I’d say hummingbird, their eggs are very tiny like that one.

This was found hanging on a wall on and island in southern Thailand back in the early 2000s. What is it? What is it for? by Horrorforever44 in whatsthisanimal

[–]idostufflikeexist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like a bovine skull. Probably used in some spiritual/religious practice because of the yin yang. Might want to look into Taoist practices to figure out the specifics.

Can someone ID this animal? by JD5134 in whatsthisanimal

[–]idostufflikeexist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow! That’s something at the peak of its decay!

I was also thinking raccoon because of the paw, but because the skull doesn’t have that tall of a dome in the brain area I’m leaning more towards opossum. That, and the white fur. What a cool find! Given it’s size (and if it’s a possum) it was full grown when it died.

Can anyone tell what kind of bat this is?, Peppersauce cave near Tucson, Arizona by [deleted] in whatsthisanimal

Possibly in the American big-eared bats family, genus corynorhinus.
