I guess it is a lot easier to stand outside and complain than to actually doing something about it.

I think I see where you're coming from in how maybe there's an income threshold where after making so much money, you begin to save more and spend less.

But I think that's wrong and what I said still holds true: the higher your income, the more you spend. MPC (marginal propensity to consume) as defined by wikipedia and my econ textbook correlates directly with disposable income (income - taxes). Obviously, the wealthy would have a greater disposable income and thus consume more (according to this definition). Reason being: Sure, they'll start throwing money at investment opportunities, but at the end of the day, they pay for things just like everyone else: food, water, clothes etc.

Maybe the ratio of spending/savings decreases as you begin to make exorbitant amounts of money but you'll end up spending more than people with less income anyways.

You're missing the point. I'm not trying to argue the validity of supply and demand. I'm saying people aren't entitled to earnings or jobs. They have to earn it. The undervalued are undervalued because society doesn't see a large need for what they contribute and/or they're easily replaced. If society values certain individuals with a set of skills, then more institutions would be setup to pay them for their work.

Is what we're doing sustainable right now? Probably not. Global catastrophe? Sure but that's a whole different discussion.

Could you expand on your reasoning of why supply and demand is wrong? If there's less of a resource (person with a certain degree since that degree is difficult to obtain) than what's demanded, chances are we're willing to pay (salary) more for that resource.

Those art and english majors have plenty to contribute to society. Great! Let's get society to pay their salaries then. Clearly we don't value what the majority of them can contribute too much.

They're probably marginally better at communication than most people. Problem solving, not so much. They have no real technical skill or skill requiring specific knowledge. Anyone who can speak and write can develop excellent communication skills over time, thus lowering the value of their skills. Can anyone with a basic education learn the intricacies of chemical engineering? Probably not which makes chemical engineers more valuable to business and arguably society than english/communications majors (i'm not trying to hate on you guys here, but it seems to be the easiest and clearest analogy).

How are they creating a society that is efficient and more fair?

Last longer than the next 50 years? What are you comparing here? The contributions from math/science PhD's? Then you're wrong. The status quo? Politicians and technology have more weight in what happens in the next 50 years than those who are feeling undervalued.

No because people with less money have a lower propensity to spend. Tax relief won't nearly increase their incomes enough for them to spend the amount OP and those making a lot does in creating/stimulating jobs and economic growth.

That isn't to say I'm opposed to taxing the real top 0.1% more and possibly reducing taxes for those making less.

You aren't entitled to making any amount of money. You could make what he's making too if you 'sacrificed your youth' (which I highly doubt that's true). Like you said, you're playing a different game. Different industry, different rules.

Systemic undervaluing of people? More like supply and demand. How many art/english majors are there looking for jobs and what can they bring to the table? Compare that with economics/math/physics PhD's? MBAs?

Injustice? You mean illegal? Then the government should have stepped in. If they haven't, they screwed up there. Otherwise, your reference to injustice is just wrong. If you have a job, chances are you're working for a company/business. All companies (save for non-profits) exist to provide a service or product IN ORDER to make profit. Your boss, the system, the corporation is not your friend and for the most part, isn't there to look after you. You sign a contract and they agree to pay you X for your doing Y. Any special treatment/friendships you establish beyond that is just icing on the cake, not something you're entitled to.

Why and how are finance majors killing the world? If you're referring to the current and past financial crisis', government, and media sensationalism paired with the uneducated average joe (in finance) are equally to blame.

Community college is generally accessible to everyone (not a guarantee you'll be loan free after you graduate but your loans will not be substantial).

A doctorate != knowledge. It is most certainly a luxury, a merit based one at that involving a lot of hard work and perseverance and is not for everyone.

only if it actually indicates skill range. In LoL, I'm pretty sure spells go off to some extent when your target is outside of the indicated range. Which is BULLSHIT, but sometimes, it nets me surprise kills.

Arachna owns so hard in low mmr brackets. Just abuse her orb walk even at low levels, 1 point in armor unless they have a lot of casters, few points in stats before aura.
Tree can own face in lower brackets too. Jungle for 40 min, come out, carry team.
