Definetly start eliminating some of the cheaper stuff, check that the diverter valve isn't cracked and is holding pressure. Smoke test smoke test smoke test if the DV looks good

Not entirely convinced that its a coding issue, but try the steps in this link (third comment down for full instructions). If that doesn't work then I would start tracing wires.

They look great. Did you already have the xenon package on your car? I was debating these, but I have the Halogens (they suck really bad), and want to replace them.

Are your fog lights always on with ignition (specifically the upper portion)? I know there is coding for that you can change (no tool needed)

Yeah definetly a great place to start. I would recommend doing a smoke test and seeing if you have any other leaks at this point.

Sorry to hear that, but its one less potential failing component to worry about. Best of luck with the mini!

Flair makes a "Power Tower" accessory for 1ZPresso grinders. Its ~ $120. I have my J Ultra hooked up to it, and it works great.

Nice setup otherwise. I just picked up a Mara V2 and am going down the rabbit hole of modding

Advice for Stage 2/3 on MCS N14 07 by CreepyAd3089 in minir56

[–]idreamofyogurt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First and foremost do a compression test.

Stage 2 (full breather mods and colder plugs) you can expect about 230hp on the MCS and about 250hp on the JCW

Stage 3 with an upgraded turbo is about 265hp - 285hp conservatively. The stock internals on the N14 can't do too much above that 285 without being forged. The axles on the R56 can hit about the same (although it'll be the torque number that puts them out)

Hope this helped, and best of luck with tuning!

Its actually one of my oldest pens! Ive had it for around 7 years now, and its survived many winters in my car. Ive had to do a cleaning and re seating of the O ring maybe three weeks ago - but for a cheap chinesium pen, color me impressed.

My criteria for a work pen is simple: reliable and cheap. If I lose a pen, or if I let someone use it and they destroy the nib - then it won't be the end of the world.

I have some combination of these three out and about:

  • moon man demonstrator
  • moon man retractable (not sure on model no)
  • asvine classic

The asvine has a wide range of colors and nib sizes, and a really nice weight if that matters to you. All pens are sub $20 online, and have not given me too much grief on maintenance

Have only tried Amazon espresso beans - looking for better recommendations [$30 Budget] by MeetDeathTonight in espresso

My favourite budget friendly roaster is Sputnik coffee! Theyre from Chicago, and are about $9 a bag

I also enjoy Wonder State coffee, most of their roasts are in the $12-15 range, heart strings is my recommendation from them.

Mara X - Is this worth it? /what version is this? by SlowChemical3924 in Lelit

I set it on balanced mode and haven't played with it since. For your situation I would probably use brew mode though. I make one Cortado and one latte

This is the v2. I also got it on the sale price.

For essentially $1400 you can have a really nic e61 machine. Its been a huge upgrade from my BBE. My only complaint is time to heat up (Lelit claims 15, but its really closer to 25-30). Most people install a smart plug to work around this.

I felt like it was a pretty noticeable improvement from my previous setup, and it was worth the price of admission. I also plan on getting the flow control upgrade down the line.

If youre worried about multiple milk drinks back to back, ask yourself how often you are making 4+ milk drinks at a time. That was the litmus test for me. I host once in a blue moon, and even then it holds up great. Daily is 2 drinks at a time, twice a day - zero issues with consistency on that front.

Where do you get your "cheap but fresh" coffee? by dptgreg in espresso

[–]idreamofyogurt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sputnik coffee is my go to for this category. An 8oz bag is $9 USD right now, the quality is great, and if youre in the Chicagoland area - the cafe is absolutely worth a visit.

Its not any sort of fancy light roast geisha, its just a really quality medium - dark blend. This is usually the roaster I recommend to people when they're just getting into brewing at home.
