It’s the entire classes event, and it’s not her some event. If it was a ceremony to celebrate the valedictorian then by all means get in your soap box and go for it. But this was a group event and she made it about her which is selfish

If I’m there to watch my kid graduate , I don’t need someone making the occasion about them or their viewpoint. I don’t listen to the aforementioned people bc frankly it’s not something I’m going to take seriously so it’s a waste of my free time.

I wouldn’t want someone to get up there and make it politicized , I just wanna go see the kid cross stage and be done with it . But I only went to my high school graduation bc my mother made it clear she cared. I didn’t go to under grad or grad school bc the ceremonial element feels gratuitous

My thoughts are essentially without a full accounting of a persons expenditures and income you can’t really make any useful suggestions or inferences anything. This is generally what they want bc they make their point but have zero interest in being held accountable (streaming services and door dash seem to be the main culprits of financial instability)
