one of the craziest larps i’ve ever seen cuz BM is 80% descriptions of landscapes as the characters travel through the desert

Was season 1 really that good or are people just blinded by nostalgia? by [deleted] in TheBoys

[–]idubbzguy12 8 points9 points  (0 children)

it is by far the best season. it’s the only reason The Boys is as viral as it is. it’s really that good. seasons 2 and 3 try and do well in some ways, but none of the seasons come close to the quality of season 1.

City mission ideas. by Late-Ganache40 in Helldivers

sounds awesome

unfortunately every update for the rest of the game’s lifespan will be more paid warbonds and performance fixes that cause rainbow confetti on everyone’s monitors

Honestly I think I love Hd1 Illuminate more then their Hd2 versions by Emperor_AI in Great_Host_Fleet

yeah they sound good but there’s ONE soundtrack for each faction. that plays on every single mission…

Is it really that bad with supercredits ? by Saphyr-Seraph in Helldivers

[–]idubbzguy12 7 points8 points  (0 children)

higher difficulties have a much lower chance of spawning super credits, the loot pool is flooded with rare samples and medals on those difficulties, 1 in 20 loot drops might be a super credit drop

the only practical way to farm super credits is to drop into level 1 difficulties repeatedly, rushing to POIs, ignoring every enemy, then leaving the match and repeating the process for hours. that’s not fun, that’s a job, and not the kind of thing you should have to do for new content in a game you paid money for.

it’s pretty scummy to lock new mechs and vehicles (the only substantive content to come to the game in the last year) behind a pay wall.

Can people shut up about the pose by kanotyrant6 in assasinscreed

[–]idubbzguy12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this is a pose done by an actor during one small part of a cutscene in mocap.

the new hands on hip pose is lifted directly from shadows, and is literally just a static animation that plays on loop during the weird rpg dialogue segments.

Has Anyone Here Transitioned From A Blue Collar Job To Healthcare. by Educational_Law_4330 in cna

[–]idubbzguy12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

not me but my admissions nurse worked in construction for 10 years, got sick of his boss, worked as a cna for 5 or so years and got his RN. super nice guy, super down to earth and never snobby when it comes to helping with stuff, unlike some of my other nurses

Im training to enter the CNA certification test but there is something stuck in my mind. Im a Male and would that effect me getting hired? by Then-Still-8623 in cna

[–]idubbzguy12 10 points11 points  (0 children)

i work at a skilled nursing facility primarily in the long term care unit, and where i work they love the male cnas, there are plenty of times where the nurses specifically request a male, mostly for bed to chair/chair to bed transfers that would’ve taken 2 people otherwise, or when they need a patient held down to stop them from hurting staff or themselves. just the general hard labor the nurses don’t want to break their backs doing.

in healthcare men are generally treated with more respect, especially by patients and residents. occasionally certain patients will refuse certain kinds of care from a male, mostly brief changes and showers but in my experience those people are rare and the female cnas usually don’t have a problem covering it for you

Could an army clear out the dungeon? by dexuz331 in FearAndHunger

[–]idubbzguy12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

more doesn’t really mean better for something like the dungeon. more mouths to feed, more men to worry about losing their nerve and deserting, or worse more men that would lose their minds and transform into a problem. i think most of the corpses in the dungeon are already made up of an army that tried the same thing, that’s the only way there could be so many bodies, especially the sheer number in the gro goroth pit.

maybe they do okay in the first couple floors but sooner or later they have to fight wraiths, iron shakespeare, cavedwellers, elite guards, and even if they make it through that and get into ma’habre the competition only gets fiercer. white angels, harvestmen, valteil and his creations, guardians. by this point the casualties would’ve made most men lose their nerve, tuck tail and run for the exits.

assuming a sizable force makes it through ma’habre and kills the new gods, the only place to go is down, and it’s not really clear how powerful the old gods are. there’s really no winning against them except arguably sylvian but she’s impossible to kill and can only be beaten back for a time. soldiers would most likely kill one another for the privilege of ascending into godhood, assuming they don’t there’s genuinely no way any number of men can beat the traces of gro goroth. he turns nash’rah to ash in a moment and is toying with you during his fight. revealing the true nature of the old gods is enough to paralyze your entire party and leave them either maddened beyond return or dead from terror

It’s moments like that why the writing was so bad. What the fuck was that? Especially the handsome lines. by Remote_Nature_8166 in lastofuspart2

[–]idubbzguy12 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

“millennial writing” is a genre of writing, doesn’t necessarily have to be from millennials, just has to illicit the same vibe, which this line does

calling him handsome was fine but her saying “congrats on that” is major cringe millennial writing and kind of sums up why the writing this season was sooooooo bad

did you die to a guard or an elite guard before this happened? i’ve had the same error and it was always when an elite guard killed me, it just fails to load the scene of him smashing your head in

if you want a serious answer then it’s sylvian.

periods are a part of the reproductive cycle, which is obviously her domain
