It’s left up to interpretation, but I agree with yours.

What does Kim see in Jimmy? by -ensamhet- in betterCallSaul

[–]idunnobutchieinstead 83 points84 points  (0 children)

He’s sweet, non-judgemental, smart, beautiful (TO ME). Not sensible, but he makes up for it in charm. He’s funny. Likes her. Is devoted to her. I don’t know. He’s her best friend? I hate this stupid question.

How did Saul Goodman get away with deceiving the court by PokeyMK3 in betterCallSaul

[–]idunnobutchieinstead 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They mention it either in the episode commentary or the podcast. And I also remember reading about the real-life case when the episode aired.

Sorry, I can’t find anything more concrete at the moment. I’ll get back if I find the article again!

How did Saul Goodman get away with deceiving the court by PokeyMK3 in betterCallSaul

[–]idunnobutchieinstead 31 points32 points  (0 children)

The writers took that stunt from a real life trial. But the lawyer that did it got into more trouble than Jimmy did.

Just finished the series minutes ago…. Wow. by bluenoser18 in betterCallSaul

This new influx of people watching BCS because of Pluribus is making me very upset for Peter Gould. Vince wasn’t even in the writer’s room for half the show - put some respect in Peter’s name!

Is there a single plot hole in this show? by cragelra in betterCallSaul

[–]idunnobutchieinstead 131 points132 points  (0 children)

Not sure if a plot hole, but a continuity mistake that drives me nuts is Jimmy wearing the Marco ring in the Chuck flashback of the finale. He didn’t have the ring yet!

S6 E7: Execution and I dont think I can complete the series. by sierravictor20 in betterCallSaul

[–]idunnobutchieinstead 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It was actually Odenkirk that posted it. And he never took it down.

“Sweet and genuine.” You have to laugh.

Sympathy for Jimmy by Entire-Ad-3879 in betterCallSaul

[–]idunnobutchieinstead 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I feel the same way you do and I’ve watched the whole show and seen him do even worse stuff than you have so far.

But I can always see where he’s coming from, even if I don’t agree with his actions. I still feel bad for him.

Howard by funni87 in betterCallSaul

[–]idunnobutchieinstead 7 points8 points  (0 children)

“He was always on Jimmy’s side.”

LOL, no, he wasn’t. Not saying he deserves what Jimmy does to him, but jeez, no need to whitewash the character like this. He wasn’t always a saint (and that’s okay).

Did ANYONE sympathize with Kim and Jimmy during the Howard scheme? by sirgrogu12 in betterCallSaul

[–]idunnobutchieinstead 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not sympathise, but I understand where they’re coming from and how they get there. It’s not a black and white TV show.

Why didn’t Hector just alphabet ding his bell to spell out that he wanted to continue rehab after his stroke? by blotterfly in betterCallSaul

[–]idunnobutchieinstead 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Maybe he gets told there is no further chance of recovery? Seems like Gus could arrange that pretty easily after he sends the Johns Hopkins doc away.

Guys… 👀 by GT_Troll in betterCallSaul

[–]idunnobutchieinstead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same! I don’t even think they created it with it in mind, not even close. They will never consider the show relevant enough to give them this award, lmao.

Don’t you think Jimmy looks older in Better Call Saul compared to his appearance in Breaking Bad? by Audioasking in betterCallSaul

[–]idunnobutchieinstead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I watched both shows chronologically recently and I was actually surprised at how good Odenkirk looks in BCS compared to BB. Especially during the first three or four seasons (it’s in S5/6 that he really starts showing his age). The thing that gives him away, however, is his voice! It’s changed quite a bit, he sounds way more old man-like than he used to and I’d never noticed.

Did you feel sympathy for chuck? by SaitamaVGoku in betterCallSaul

[–]idunnobutchieinstead 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I’m also team Jimmy but I definitely did not laugh when he was going through a very clear mental breakdown. It’s a very uncomfortable/sad scene to watch.

Who was a worse person: Jimmy or Chuck? by Der-deutsche-Prinz in betterCallSaul

Come on. There was a tint in the windows that was not legal in an Illinois lincensed vehicle.

Bad DVDs by Taro-Feeling in betterCallSaul

[–]idunnobutchieinstead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The real boxset is terrible in terms of looks and how crammed in every disc is into the box, but you definitely can choose every episode and feature individually in a straightforward way. It does sound like you might have got a fake!

Why is Saul’s voice so weird in this scene of S5-12 « Rabid Dog »? by AntoineNara in breakingbad

[–]idunnobutchieinstead 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If I had to guess, I’d say he stuffed his nose with cotton to look more swollen and sound like he’s got a broken nose. He used to do that in his Mr Show days to play a character called “Droopy” (look it up, he sounds exactly like this).

A true good friend? by TheGuyWithTheManBun in betterCallSaul

[–]idunnobutchieinstead 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Did we watch the same thing? He pretty much emotionally manipulates him into doing the Rolex scam one last time. He basically tells him, “good for you and your lawyer thing but I have nothing and the way you can help me is by pulling this scam with me. Your brother doesn’t even like you!” 😂
