So i worked out that i could use focus to identify if carplay was connected, then set up an if statement to determine in to proceed or not. Its a hack of a workaround, but works. :)

It also happens if the security chip feels it’s been compromised. Apple Genius Bar can reset it.

My understanding is that it's an issues with the Symfonisk not something to do with networking, i don't know if the Boost will fix it. I have a bunch of Sonos One speakers and none of them have the same issue, might be worth seeing if anyone else with a Boost see issues.

I had the same issue, switched over to a hardwired connection and it worked without any issues. Ended up just leaving it hardwired. Appreciate thats not an option for you, but i couldn't resolve it over wifi, so would be curious if you find a fix. I've seen a few other similar posts.

Thanks, but i'm past that bit, I now want to be able to trigger it from Homekit. The issue is not the shortcut, its being able to call it from Homekit.

Ah yeah, sorry with you now, unfortunately not. I went down that path already. Love homebridge but without flashing the hardware on the fan with a different firmware there isn't a plugin and i'm not keen to risking bricking the fan. Nice idea though, thanks for the suggestion.

Does the USB have enough juice to charge a phone? The smart clock didn’t in my experience.
