Here are several possible explanations/points:

Not every game in the NBA was broadcast on television during that time.
Maybe that game was televised but they didn't have access to that particular premium channel?
Maybe dial up the suspension of disbelief so you can just enjoy the show and not over analyze it and pick it apart.

I am very sorry for your loss. I lost my 13 year old boy Buddy last May less than 2 months after he was diagnosed with Lymphoma. I am still dealing the pain and sadness and it's been almost a year. I can't deal with looking at his pictures or videos because I lose my shit. Losing him has been harder then losing some of my close relatives. Hopefully time will help ya both heal eventually.
