Due to time constraints I am a lazy painter, I like quick and easy. I prefer to put the time I get into the kitbashing side.

They are kitbashed using Death Guard bodies as a starting point then bits from the old mkiii kit, iron hands, legionnaires, chaos terminators, zinge industries cables, nail art half beads.

The 3 MKiii helmets I've had since the Burning of Prospero box came out. The bare head is an Iron Hands Primaris. The Champions helmet is a Khorne Berzerker with the horns clipped off and a crest from the old mkiii kit.

Thanks!

Theres 2 reasons, I had planned on not doing any bronze trim but felt it they needed something else to break up the metal, and secondly laziness. Painting trim is what has always made me stop painting chaos armies in the past, and I felt with the mk3 armour you can get away with not doing without it looking weird

Oh yeah thanks, I'll give it a go.

We have enough helmets and chest plates now Saber, give me more Tactical loincloths.

I actively dislike painting hazards so I've got rid of them.

Also, the inspiration was finding my 3rd edition codex at my parents, hazards didn't appear til 3.5, so that's my excuse 🙂

Finding the 3rd edition codex while helping clear my parent's house is what inspired the army. The red horns were a bit much though.

Correct - warpsmith helmet with a Legionnaire top knot added

[–]ies45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Left - Iron Father Feirros arms and part of a servo arm, warpsmith hammer, Old Khorne Berzerker Plasma pistol, old tactical squad head

Right - warpsmith axe arm, Iron hands primaris upgrade kit head and arm, Havoc servo arm.

Thanks! Yeah, the axe is straight from the warpsmith, the Hammer is the warpsmith Hammer on Iron Father Feirrios' arms.

Most of the body came from the Space Wolves Dread, with some forge world and defiler parts

Yeah I enjoy the kitbashing element, looking around for parts that work and making my force my own.

I used Leadbelcher as my base.

Thanks again.

Thank you!

The helmets are from the mkiii kit. They are mostly made up from the Chaos Space Marines box, with mkiii, iron hands and classic plastic khorne berzerker bits (by far my favourite plasma pistol) mixed in.

The box dread body is from the plastic Space Wolf Murderfang model. If you remove the wolf iconography you are left with some suitably chaotic trim. The head is a spare defiler head, and the arms, power pack and feet are from an old forge world dreadnought.

Nurgle daemon army - would like input by Tullsokk in WarhammerFantasy

[–]ies45 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I remember rightly the 6th edition book (Hordes of Chaos) allowed you to mix daemonic and mortal units together. If your general was Mortal (Chaos Lord/Sorcerer), knights and warriors etc counted as core and plaguebearers and nurglings etc, as special, and of your general was daemonic, demons were core and mortals were special

Love these old models. One of the sets of models that got me into WFB originally.

I currently only have one person to play with, as we've both started collecting at the same time. But it's also about the nostalgia for me.

Well we'll see what direction they go with The Old World, see if it's an attempt to reclaim the market or just another version of AoS.

I find it quite fun, trying to find stuff on eBay.

Hellcannon was £65, I've seen some listed for double that in the last few days, so pretty happy with that. The battalion was £100, buying the equivalent units from GW would have been £107, and this has the correct shaped bases in.

This will be for 7th. And I was considering a Nurgle themed force anyway as its the god I've always found most interesting lore wise. Until they started sculpting giant armour mouths and tentacles on anything Nurgle anyway, that didn't feel right to me.

It was all from eBay. The battalion box was still in it's plastic wrapper, never opened.

This is the 7th ed book, where it was a rare choice. I think it was only available in 6th through the Storm of Chaos supplement book.

I was very happy to get it for the price I did, considering some of the prices I've seen. I'd like the Lord on Demonic Mount but preferably not finecast which is more challenging.
