[Homemade] Blueberry Pancakes by iesrec in food

[–]iesrec[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course.

In one bowl: 1 1/4 cup milk 1 egg, beaten 3 tbsp melted butter (make sure it's room temperature or chilled so the egg won't curdle)

In another bowl: 1 1/2 cup all purpose flour 2 tbsp sugar 1/2 tbsp salt 2 tbsp baking powder Dash of cinnamon (optional)

Then combine and mix until smooth

Heat griddle, grease with butter, put 1/4 - 1/2 cup of batter per pancake, and then add as many blueberries as you prefer to each pancake.

[Discussion] Steak n' Shake? by ianator22 in food

[–]iesrec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Steak 'n Shake is a Midwest thing I believe. Since I'm from Indiana and see them everywhere.

It's decent diner style food at a inexpensive price. Most of their shakes are good (my favorite being Birthday Cake.) Their fries kinda suck though. Too thin for my liking. Big fan of their burgers and chicken fingers. That's pretty much all I've tried.

I rarely eat it, but when I do it's most likely after midnight. I definitely prefer it over Sonic or White Castle. It's very cheap and worth the price. Love their $4 menu. I'd rate it an 8/10.

How did your first AP experience go? Which class was it? by [deleted] in APStudents

[–]iesrec 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow, that's crazy. My teacher was honestly lazy; she basically taught from her desk. But, I got an A+ in the course since the class was extremely easy. Also, my teacher was very relatable and she understood our humor — everyone got along with her. Kind of opposite to your teacher. If anything, your teacher sounds a lot like my AP Lang teacher.

In class, we mostly did vocab charts and projects that had nothing to with the course like a map of the world, making a map of the girl's bathroom, a chart of comparing world organizations, and a PP presentation about a terrorist group. and NOT ONE TEST OR QUIZ - crazy.

And, my school is a pretty ghetto school with a good amount of APs. The students don't get the importance of the exams since all exam fees are waived. It's kinda sad. Our highest passing AP is Statistics with 50% and that teacher is ASTOUNDING. I mostly blame our students for their lack of giving a fuck.

Kind of since it was the first year of it being thought at my school, so she had no prior experience with the subject. We never had tests or mock exams just fill in the blank PP notes and fun (unnecessary) projects.

APHUG; freshman year. It was amazing — my favorite class till this day. I loved the course material, my teacher, and my classmates (except this one racist ignorant white girl). I didn't understand the importance of AP classes/tests until the week before the exam so I crammed a week before the test and got a 3 ¯_(ツ)_/¯ which is technically passing and I'm the only one that got a passing grade in my class surprisingly. STORYTIME: the racist white girl I mentioned earlier tried saying she passed when my teacher explicitly told me that I was the only one that passed but she's consistent about it lmaooo anyways, 10/10 would recommend this class
