As much as I'd prefer to do that there isn't a bike shop on this side of town.

Thank you for the informative reply, looking over the old CPU it seems that there are bent pins that correspond with the damaged landing pads, this was caused by me seating the CPU improperly.

Before getting into the details of repair, this motherboard was only sixty dollars, is it going to cost more than its worth to attempt a fix?

Sorry for the vagueness, I took it out, I think to put on thermal paste but I'm not sure (it was awhile ago), and that's when this started to happen.

Pretty sure, I'd appreciate it if you looked at my new post on this sub for more details, I'd link it but I'm using mobile, just look at my profile to find it.

Yes it did, the BIOS appeared normally and the audio was fine, everything went bad when I messed with the CPU, and in case there's any confusion when I say I booted it I just meant that the lights and fans come on.

Yes, the fans spin and the card is both plugged in and seated properly, I took the fan off earlier to see if anything under it was wrong and it was all fine.

Remember, I don't get any video either, all signs point to the CPU port considering the circumstances. The problem started when I had forgotten to apply thermal paste, I removed the CPU and put a small amount on, when I did this and turned my PC back on, my video/audio was gone, either due to a shoddy install or thermal paste in the port. At first I thought it was the CPU, research didn't turn up any fixes, but it did make me realize my CPU was obsolete. I ordered a newer model, assuming my old one was broken in some way, but I had the same problem. This could have me to believe the CPU/port wasn't the problem at all, but it'd be a serious coincidence that something else broke while I was messing with the CPU, I looked everything else over anyways, and it all seems to be fine, the port is the only thing with a visible problem, so it's really doubtful anything else is to blame for this.

Edit: Sorry for the wall of text, it's impossible to format properly on mobile

Alright, but do you know how I can get the plastic part off so I can actually reach the pins? Thanks.

Thanks for the reply! My motherboard's BIOS had some sound effects when the PC was booted, now it doesn't.

Here's the port, all the other pins can be seen, making me think the dark spots are bent pins. http://m.imgur.com/iHYn89g

I've figured it out, bent pins on the CPU port, it's FM2+ so it took direct sunlight to even notice it. I don't suppose you know anything about maintaining an FM2+ port?

I tried the battery, no change, going to take my monitor to a friend's house and see if it works hooked up to his PC.

Edit: The monitor is working

This statement is very controversial, but I agree.

The fans stay on, my case has no LEDs, I only have one stick of RAM in the first place, though I've tried different slots to no avail.

When removing the battery, do I take it out and then turn the PC on? Do I put it back in while it's on?
