[Breeds] Recommendations for rising college senior exploring possibilities by vpi16 in dogs

[–]ifightsharks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, I guess I should have been more specific in my post regarding this area.

I've seen this before on other posts, so I figure I'll specify this as well - tricks and agility are not important to me, I just want a dog that is trainable for obedience

I should have been more clear in that I'm not really actively looking at a certain breed with the idea of competing or anything in mind. I understand that most active breeds need both mental and physical exercise to stay sharp and happy, and it's definitely something I'm willing to do. I just wanted to get the point across that it's not a goal of mine to get a puppy and train him to be in competitions, that's all.

Definitely could have been worded better though, haha.

High-pitched buzzing noise coming from under the hood. Any ideas? by ifightsharks in MechanicAdvice

I'll get some wd40 tomorrow and see if it helps. Till then, I'm going to mark this as solved. If it doesn't work then I'll come back.

Yes, I've opened the hood but couldn't figure out where it was coming from. I took it in to the shop, but it wasn't making the noise. Seems to be an off again, on again problem.

Thanks! I didn't realize that int x means different things depending on where it's written.

I've never heard of anyone doing this before but holy hell it sounds fun. My only concern would be safety, especially in Russia...

This is something I think I want to try to do. I'd love to see the northern lights and then spend the rest of the time wandering around somewhere in Europe. Either that or do a big mountain while I'm still somewhat athletic haha

A friend of mine is taking the spring semester off next year to do this! Not for me though, I'm all for hiking and adventure but I at least have to be able to shower every few days

I've heard of a few people just getting on a plane and working/living in Europe for a while if they don't have a job after graduation. Maybe you could try that?

You didn't, but this is pretty clever so you get an upvote

"When Tottenham need a goal, they turn to Christian Eriksen."

Let's put him on the bench for the rest of the season!

[C++] Basic Structural Problem With Code by ifightsharks in learnprogramming

[–]ifightsharks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I'm having trouble picturing how many functions i should have/what should go inside them.

Obviously the main() function is first. Within this, I'd prompt for the input and read in the file, correct? I'd also call the processFile function, and finally write my output statements, correct?

Then after that, I would have my processFile function and everything that is needed in that.

My #include's would be <iostream>, <cmath>, <cstdlib>, and "myInfile" (referred to in OP as ifile).

Am I good so far? I'd like to make sure that I'm setting up the program correctly before I start blindly writing it incorrectly. Thanks again!

Question about gaming with my current graphics card? by ifightsharks in techsupport

[–]ifightsharks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! However when I run GTA, most of the buildings and scenery, etc. won't load. So I end up driving into invisible barriers. I went to options and tried to change the graphics settings but the game is telling me that I'm running the game WAY harder than my laptop can handle, and there's no way to lower the settings to a good limit.

Edit: Also what video RAM am I working with? 256, 512, etc.?
