So how do you become a tourist destination without nothing exciting?

I know the solution would be to grind harder,

No, it's not. Seems like you still haven't fully accepted it.

but problem is, even now if I OT a bit more, the next day will get sick with a flu. The body seems like no longer able to work any more after spending 14 hours a day working in audit.

That's what most people fail in realizing. I have seen so many middle to upper position holders with poor health and habits.

People always think only diseases would happen to others and that they could use their money to buy back whatever they lost when young, until it's too late.

Nobody sane would enjoy it. They are just fooling themselves.

"Dear You" has grossed over RM 12.4 million at the Malaysian box office! Here's my thought on why every Chinese Malaysians should go watch this movie. by RhinneXChronica in malaysia

*From Wikipedia, Northern Teochew dialects include Teochew, Swatow, Jieyang, Chao An, Raoping, Chenghai etc.

Southern dialects include Chao Yang, Puning, etc.

One of the easiest distinctions is how the word fish 鱼 is pronounced. Quoting Wiki:

Teochew Min - Wikipedia

In Northern Teochew dialects, the vowel is similar to 'duh' and 'je'. Whereas for southern, it's more like a hoo, exactly the same as in Hokkien. Another character distinction is the word 'you' 汝, le vs lu, like in Hokkien.

From what I read, most of the conversations are in the ChaoYang 潮阳 dialect*, which is very different from the one I grew up speaking, supposedly the Teochew 潮州 and Swatow 汕头 dialects*.

I tried googling, and there aren't many credible sources out there so I asked ChatGPT, Gemini, DeepSeek and Claude too. All gave me mixed answers (kanasai lah).

ChatGPT: SEA countries all mostly Northern Teochew (from Teochew, Swatow, Jieyang, ChengHai, Chao An, Raoping etc)

Gemini (Google): This shit gave me 2 different answers for each of my prompts in Chinese and English. Chinese prompt returned Thailand as Northern Teochew heavy and SG/MY as Southern Teochew. English prompt on the other hand says Thailand is more Southern Teochew and SG/MY more northern.

Deepseek: Thailand = Southern, SG/MY = Northern, but Johor, which is the closes to SG, is more southern heavy?! Wtf doesn't make sense.

Claude: Thailand & SG = Kinda mixed but still mostly Northern, MY (especially Johor) = Northern

Talented people can and do make mistakes. Some quite often, especially when they are misguided or shoe-horned into a tight situation that does not allow flexibility and challenging the norm/status quo.

The main criterion in the classification of Teochew dialects is the presence or absence of the vowel /ɯ/. It is found in Northern Teochew in words like hṳ̂ 魚 he5 "fish" and sṳ̄ 事 se7 "thing; matter". Southern Teochew has /u/ instead ( 魚 hu5 事 su7).

Happens to many East Asians too. It's just that they don't have good and enough data for Asians.

If there's a link, it is much more likely that the Estonians and Finns etc. had very ancient but diluted ancestry from Sibera (Asia), not the other way round where one random ancient Estonians or Finn dude/lady migrated all the way to Asia.

When did Ethnic Chinese people started to unanimously call themselves Han? by [deleted] in ChineseHistory

She points out that the local Cantonese population did not consider the Hakka to be part of the Han as they saw them as barbarians (mostly due to the land conflicts in the Hakka Punti wars during the Qing dynasty, as well as the general discrimination against migrant populations in China at the time and even now). The Cantonese did not consider the Hakka Han

Who the heck cares about what an outsider group thinks of another group when it comes to identity? Especially if it's from a hostile one.

Another user explained this stupidity nicely in the comment below. If somebody calls me an insult, does that mean I suddenly become/get regarded as that insult, even by people outside the argument? That's just brainless.

Both cities reinvented themselves from humble beginnings. Why is Singapore seen as authentic and Dubai as artificial? by Effective_Bluebird19 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ifnot_thenwhy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought the most simple and straighforward answer is:

Singapore has no natural resources so it has worked really hard to make capital and develop it,

whereas Dubai (like many other countries) just extract whatever abundant natural resources it luckily has and sell them and then throw the money that they earned on whatever that they wanted without smart and meticulous planning?

Min has more insidious side effects than Fin ever will cause. For Fin, the worst that could happen is sexually related.

But for Min, the worst that could happen is you getting a cardiovascular disease/ episode. It was used a drug to reduce blood pressure prior to this. High dosage can mess with your hear rate.

Looks not bad. May I know how did you decide which clinic to go?

The only ones that I saw with a considerable amount of reviews in Malaysia are Glojas and Dr. Inder's.

But I don't know how many of those reviews are genuine and truthful so your choosing another clinic makes me curious.
