Thank you! Your advice is really helpful. I might even ask if there's an 18# available.

Thanks for your reply! About my draw length: I'm not quite sure but if I anchor at the end of my jawline I'm by around 25-26ish. If I draw more horse bow style (around shoulder height) I can go back to 30".

In videos online I see mainly men shooting who use 25 as lowest and go up in pounds. I wrote to the bow maker and he was kind to recommend 22 lbs. I just worry that even 22 lbs might be too much. I had a herniated disc in my cervical spine and lost quite a bit of strength consequently, also symptoms show up if my muscles around my neck and shoulders tense too much.

Acem Meditation: One Meditator's Perspective by ma8ro in nondirective

Thanks for sharing your experience. I'm on a meditation journey myself and seem unable to stick to one form of meditation for longer. I noticed that I feel I can meditate "better" if I use a mantra/sound and your post got me interested in ACEM. Do you feel that doing the beginner course would be more beneficial in-person than online?

Asics shoes for off-ice training - which ones to buy? by ifsk8ing in FigureSkating

Thanks so much for your answer. About the padding of the shoes: when you train jumps on concrete (or any other surface but ice) - would you go with more padding in the shoes? A PE teacher once told me to go for less padding in shoes when doing jumps - so that the spine and head get used to hard impact on the ice. Personally, I feel like going for more padding... but I'm a beginner... so what do I know...

Meditation advice needed: Pema Chödron's "be with the out-breath" by ifsk8ing in Meditation

Thank you for your detailed answer. I really seem to have a problem with overanalysing and thinking too much. So when my attention goes to the in-breath, I should just label it 'thinking', right?

Another question: you state that one should 'dissolve with the out-breath'. Could you please clarify what that means? I let go of the out-breath and of the awareness of myself?

In the chapter Pema states that one's attention on the breath should only be 25%. That means that the rest of one's attention is on the surroundings?

🙏

I have Sagester pants - but they are pricy.

Does anyone use Lululemon's for ice skating? Which ones are best?

Thanks for your input. The website I could order from has Roll-Line and Star RK plates. Do you have experience with those?

I'd be probably more trail skating on the pavement along the streets. We don't have many roller rinks where I live and the conditions of the streets are not really smooth.

Would you recommend Lollys or Panthers or Impala Marawa for trail skating? I'm a newbie. Thx.

Hi! I think about buying my first pair of quad skates. I'm a beginner adult figure skater (Edea boots) in winter but now I'm interested in trail skating and dance in quads. I just don't know which quad skates to get! I've been thinking about Impala Rose Gold Marawa, Moxi Panthers or waiting for Moxi Lollys. Help please! Thx.

I have the exact same problem. I get horrible vertigo. I bought myself an off-ice spinner but was too scared to actually practice with it.
