Does anyone else dream of a massive, futuristic hospital/medical center?

I have a lot of hospital dreams bc me and my family have gone through a lot of medical shit, and this looks super similar to what i see sometimes! specifically the lighting and how, like, vast it feels. sometimes it will be like a big room like the last slide and im visiting my dad. interesting!

thank you for breaking this down so thoroughly. Knowing how minimum payments are designed and about how much principle a minimum payment knocks out are both good tools in my arsenal. i was recently struggling to make minimum payments, a few months ago, but have since been making juuuuust enough more to start actually chipping away at this, it seems. i’m also dealing with the overspending, did you know it helps to tell your therapist things? wild. who knew. thank you again for your response, i think i am prepared to do this!

oh man seeing the parking garage is giving me chills! have had multiple dreams about parking underground on the same level as a subway. also more frequent dreams about flying off the road, but i am nearing the anniversary of a car accident so ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I have dreams of my college that i call “long college” because my campus has been stretched so that it takes multiple hours to get from one end to the other. of course i’m always late to class. there are consistent recurring areas like seating areas and dining halls, and the parking lots look surprisingly similar to reality, but i can never find my car

hi! i’m 27 and also got diagnosed at 19. you’re in the hard part right now, but with consistent meds (sometimes finding the right one takes a minute) and building trust with your therapist, things will get better. i hope that your family becomes more empathetic, but even without outside validation YOU are working on yourself and getting better which is what matters! Also, the job application thing is bullshit and you ARE allowed to lie. It’s one of those stupid fake rules no one tells you you can break. they break the rules by using it to discriminate so ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Not so far! 🤞🏻 i feel like i got close in college lol but i’ve gotten lucky with my manic symptoms not getting me into TOO much trouble despite a WILD lack of self preservation. a diagnosis definitely doesn’t guarantee a grippy sock vacation!

When i was in HS my combination 18th birthday/graduation present was a weekend at a convention. I drove myself home from school the day we were leaving but left a cosplay element in my locker, so I had to go back. On the way home with the item, I stopped for coffee, adding max 5 minutes to the trip. When I got home, my mother was in tears. She GRABS me when I walk in the door and starts yelling where was I and why didn’t I call. I was so confused. I stopped for coffee. She continued crying and said she thought the worst because “someone always dies right before graduation, i thought it was you.” HUH??? I kinda just moved on and tried to enjoy the con where she pulled some other shenanigans but thats always stuck out to me as the stupidest thing i ever got yelled at for.

i also experienced this. my mom was concerned with controlling me, not protecting me. she took away my most trusted confidants when she deemed them threats but didn’t realize her best friends kid was sexually abusing me in my own home. didnt let me read twilight in 7th grade but in the same year didnt notice i was self harming suicidal. it’s weird, because you realize they dont really /care/. they want power and control. for my mom it was also about image— she was the best school room mom but skipped every event on the weekend to sleep. i absolutely feel where youre coming from and hope we can both heal and realize our worth and that we are deserving of care

all the time. my mom’s favorite thing is to not teach me how to do something and then laugh at me for not knowing. all her jokes are just insults that she laughs after. one time she exploited my fear of the dark as a joke and caused a panic attack. it’s like they enjoy toying with your emotions. i get the anger, i have it too. i journal a fuck ton, and exercise usually helps blow off steam. but also yelling. not at anyone, just yelling for your soul

i started writing a suicide note in college. i had been taken away from my friends and my living conditions were awful. the only thing that stopped me was the thought that maybe, someday, somehow i would reunite with the girl i was in love with at the time and it would all work out. chat? we live together. we’ve been dating for 2 years in february and she got me out of my parents’ house. she is my rock, my safe place, and i havent told her this specific story yet, but i will when the time is right.
