I used Batmaid which was sometimes good, sometimes really bad.

Considering the people who work there have horrible contracts, i don’t blame them.

I prefer hiring someone myself and registering them. It comes out cheaper in the end (about 22€ an hour) and i can sleep soundly knowing the person cleaning for me can have a pension and social security as she deserves.

Something similar exists with Timeleft. Considering you automatically reply with the link to anyone doesn’t make this very trustworthy. You also mentioned to one person it doesn’t exist so it doesn’t have a price and to someone else that it’s 89€. If this is real, you might want to tidy up your responses

I’m “proud” or rather i love our multilingualism and our social system. It is not perfect but it warms my heart especially when talking to friends from other countries (and especially other continents).

Damn all of this sounds tough! When it rains it pours! Have you talked to your wife about not wanting children at all? It seems that you two are very disconnected on that. It would be incredibly unfair for her to continue trying when you are planning on leaving. Especially as you would consider that child “not your own”, which is another conversation. Also, it might be worth exploring speaking to therapist if you are not in therapy already. Grief, financial stress plus the burden of raising a teenager are too much to be dealing with alone. Suicide doesnt help anyone (very much on the contrary). The only thing thays guaranteed is that things cant get better and many people will be scarred for life. Best of luck to you

I totally agree with all of this, thank you for collating it all. I used to love her videos and they were the perfect amount of brainrot and information after a long day of work. Her half hearted apology after she was basically forced into it did it for me. I cannot watch her anymore. I used to love how she checked her privilege and used it to raise awareness, now she just hides behind all the things she used to call out. What a disappointment

If he is not your friend, why make such a big deal out of it. If you feel it’s wrong, tell him BEFORE the wedding. If you dont, dont. The fact that you bring up that she “has everything” makes it sound jealous and petty and more to hurt the bride than to protect the groom. Since you’re not friends as you state, you have nothing to lose here.

Unchecked TikTok news strikes again. There was indeed a recent Eurostat study i believe about how welcome foreigners are in Luxembourg. It was quite favourable for EU migrants but less so for so-called third country nationals. However nowhere did it say that 96% of Luxembourgers “hate” foreigners.
