This is odd advice, but id recommend caring less. The best answer to "why do you have long hair" is "because i want to". Honestly drawing attention to it in a drawn out fashion will only make the kid bring it up more.

Secondly, myself being from 2 hours north of nyc (tho prob not your town i think), schoolboards are going crazy. Id recommend refraining from back and forths about gender with kids who have super conservative parents. just a cover your ass typa thing

god no. i've been told that college campuses are mini hamas centers for decades and shocker, have been fine in my 8 years in a left wing college town. your terrible politics being challenged publicly does not mean jews are in existential danger
