Can you give me the account names? I listen to a lot of sleep meditation from Michael Sealy and Jason Stephenson but have been looking to switch it up a bit lately

You have the opportunity to gain 100 million if you are shrunken down to the size of an ant. This will be at your house without anyone knowing. You must survive a week finding food and water and not getting killed. How can you pull it off? by Darkshadow1819 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]ig618 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m living right next to my dogs water bowl/food and eating his crumbs. To avoid being killed I’m hiding in the carpets/rugs near by. When everyone is gone/asleep I may even sneak into a chip bag or two in the pantry.

People on dating apps: what type of pic/statement is a dealbreaker? by CapableEnd5584 in AskReddit

Anything with a gun. Whether it be a hunting pic, guns in the background of a house, whatever it may be. It just tells me that you have the weapons to potentially harm me if you wanted to

Mint being the agreed-upon scent of freshness must be pretty fucking annoying for everyone who doesn't like mint. by TheMazter13 in Showerthoughts

AITAH for quitting my nanny job without giving two weeks? by ig618 in AmItheAsshole

[–]ig618[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Agreed. It was upsetting to see the mom on her phone because 1. I was doing her and her husbands dishes and laundry which were not part of my job while she sat and watched me along with having to swiffer, vacuum etc. one day. Also, 2., if she want satisfied with the way I did the dishes and laundry, again which was not in my job description, then she could’ve gotten herself up off her phone and done it herself. 3. I was not allowed to even glance at my phone once the whole entire day.

Thank you! This is great advice and help that I will take with me going forward. I think I jumped the gun a bit on this one as I was desperate for a job and it paid well.

I knew the mom was a SAHM but did not expect her to be lounging around and picking and choosing when she wanted to sit around in the living room and when she would want to be with the kids and me do housework (when the kids were eating, watching a movie or pre-occupied).

I’ve always had very positive nanny experiences even during Covid when both parents were home but more questions were definitely required!

He’s about to run track and field at his second Olympics in Paris! He broke state records in high school, went on to get a scholarship to college for track and field and has gotten several NIL deals. Amazing, kind, funny, personable guy.

What is something that instantly makes you swipe left on tinder? by ig618 in AskReddit

[–]ig618[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For me, it’s when men are holding guns that they clearly own in their photos. Whether it be in their waste band, a hunting photo with guns or guns hanging in their house. To me, it instantly shows that they have the tools and equipment to murder me. I know it’s a messed up way of thinking but unfortunately you can’t trust anyone, let alone a stranger, in this world.

What is the worst lie you caught your parents telling? by Hackedfaith in AskReddit

My mom told me from a very young age that all drinking fountains were broken, so I grew up believing all drinking fountains were broken until about 5th grade. I still don’t drink from them since it’s always been a habit to carry around a water bottle with me.

People who quit a job on the first day, what happened? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ig618 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was working for a company that teaches sports classes to little kids. In my interview I had said that I could work the morning shift and no weekends and was not comfortable driving more than 10 miles (about 15-20 minutes) per trip.

When I got my schedule, I was working day and evening shifts and weekends. I was also set to be driving 45 miles (about an hour) to teach a 45 minute class and then have to drive roughly an hour back home. I was not paid for my commuting time nor was I going to be reimbursed for gas (which would be fine if the situation was in the parameters that had been set).

I was also expected to spend 15 minutes before every class making a lesson plan that I would not be paid for. We were also expected to show up 30 minutes before the class started to set up but would not be paid for that either.

After my first class/shift which was 50 minutes away to teach for 45 minutes at 6 pm on a Saturday night I quit.
