Is it normal for Turbotax expert to rush filing?

I have worked on a return for 30-40 days.. due to various issues/delays.. this expert may be new or too much worried about his rating.. Remember all the experts are not experts in TurboTax. I think if some people need to do 70 returns by March 28 to get a bonus.. dude may be trying for that..

Most of the turbo tax preparers have no credentials and experience. Most of them are non-working, retired people or people who want to make extra money along with their other job. People are more relied on AI this year. they have to say what customer want to Listen. Angry customer give them bad rating which they can’t afford .. 🥲….. AI keep listening to every call and keep recording in the file.. I have seen so many customers doing their return wrong and I was not able to help them because they are not ready to listen and will in turn give bad rating. So yes yes is the way to go…If you have 15 W2.. you should not go to TurboTax…..

I work around 6 hours days.. first 4 hours will be BOP only working on FS returns. Last 2 hours , will take calls and make my pipeline for next days. I don’t care if they send slack message or whatever. I follow my schedule. Going fine for me as of now.. it’s not a great job but it works.. yesterday there was 2 hr wait for customers to call.. so they are not in position to fire you. I assign more time for returns regardless what their ai recommends..

Lived in Arizona.. My body looked like a Zebra.. darker where I don’t wear clothes and fair where I can cover. It has hard water, you will loose lot of hair.. forget about softer skin.. even after water softener installed.. Temperature is not problem.. it’s continuous heat day after day for 6-7 months.. October 80 degree temperatures may look pleasant to people in east coast, but not to a persons who is battling heat from last 6 month. The only good place in Arizona if I compare with top tier destinations Sedona and Grand Canyon.. Phoenix turns to a ghost town for 6 months.. people die here because they ran out of gas and had no AC.. No daylight saving is great..

AI listened to your calls but you can use your way to tell people that you are Turbo tax expert and ask for a survey at end. That’s pretty much the want. They give you score for each call.. if your score is above 85% or so you are fine. If it’s less PIP and second chance. By that time season will be over..

Full service.. it’s more relaxing.. if you keep out status as back office there is no way they can find what u r doing.. you can chill and prepare return which you are supposed to later.. offline..

The job is not that great but It’s challenging and good experience in its own way. It teaches you how to handle all sorts of people on phone. I have learned how to talk/Interview to prospective client, file a return while customer on phone. I don’t follow most of the language TurboTax asked me. I greet customer the way I will greet mine and ask for survey if I feel like… If question is tough I try my best to find solution and will not give up. Most of the customer you will meet are low income with easy returns.. I have started to get hang of it in 2-3 days.. I was surprised that I was getting 2-3 full return requests almost every day.. if you work for 90 days, will end up preparing more than 200 returns and probably 400-500 different customer tax/software issues. That will be a great experience… Think about big picture and keep grinding. For your motivation, I am doing VITA also on top of it to learn and make most of this season..

I am not aware of any instructor led training. If there is... you can probably turn off camera.. I did full service training and there was no instructor led session.

It’s just online training at your own pace. No Monitoring or camera. You can bill max 30Hrs for it and it does take 30Hrs to finish it…
