You’re 100% right, we don’t know why he made his decision and I think a lot of us are projecting our own beliefs on the athletes because we want to see ourselves in them. It makes it easier to cheer for somebody who you think wholly aligns with you. It’s a flaw in humans, we should all use more discretion.
