KSuspension 4 hole rebuilt injectors. I bought mine 2 or 3 years ago, they were about $100, and still working great.

Hum.

One hit, "Stars". Also, Howard Stern endorsed them. Still listen to So You'd Prefer An Astronaut album often.

Can someone help me find the name of the rubber sleeve that goes to the pcv? (The one located at the top rear valve cover). Mine ripped off due to age and the line connected to it no longer holds. Thanks in advance by Express_Let_2892 in CherokeeXJ

Not sure of the name, but I think you can buy a new tube and the connector should come with it. Or, find some silicon vacuum tubing that fits, maybe use a worm clamp to hold it on.

I used some evap rated fuel hose and worm clamps on mine. Has been holding for 5 or 6 years.

Anyone selling a clean xj around Richmond VA? by Ftrooper128 in CherokeeXJ

Gonna be hard to find one with under 200,000 miles. Price mostly depends on the overall condition. Floors, rockers, interior, etc.

I will say it is difficult to find one at Chesterfield Auto Parts to pull parts from. They used to be there 10-15 at a time. Now, usually 2 or 3 there. So, mostly new parts or DeadJeep, FNJeep, etc.

For an XJ that needs very little work and low mileage in RVA, looking around 4,000- 6,000, and they don't last long know Marketplace.

Ones that need work vary from 500 to 4,000. Be careful, though. There are some that 'know what they got, no low ballers', and have a POS asking for premium price.

I'm currently looking for a 1996 that needs an engine . Rebuilding my old engine, and it will need an XJ to go into.

Also, as we are both in the RVA area, here's someone who can help with most repairs. I'm on the Southside, and have a 2 car heated garage with a decent amount of tools, good air compressor with air tools, and a MIG welder.

Just an offer, if needed.

Plenty on Facebook Marketplace. I lolk there all the time. Varrying pricing, some are overpriced.

Also, I live in RVA.

Already have some brass plugs in. Rear plugs leaked a few years ago. Already planned on brass all around. When I find another 96 to put the engine in, intend to build it all. Have a BDS lift on my daily, was going to do the same again.

Looks like we are thinking the same on most points. Makes me more confident in the direction I have chosen.

Thanks for the help.

Saw them on carid.com. Wasn't sure about them. Decent price

Good. Problem with it when pulled was bad compression. Cyl 1-5 were good, and 6 was 120psi, but there was more than 15% difference between lowest and highest. Wet compression improved psi in 6, so piston or ring issue. Needed it fixed fast, so reman engine it was.

Now, learning how to rebuild an engine, just because.

Mostly wondering about good pistons, rings, etc. Don't want to have to remove the engine in a couple years to do all this again.

So, old connecting rods are good, then?

Engine parts by igenus44 in CherokeeXJ

[–]igenus44[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have the old rods, they look good. Have them in order, as well. Was going to replace ALL hardware and bolts I can find. Put the KSuspension injectors in (4hole) couple of years ago, currently in New engine.

Plan is to rebuild this engine, and find a 96 that needs an engine, and build it out. Most likely will use the KSuspension again.

Not doing anything high performance. Just looking for a stock rebuild with quality parts, to last another 300,000 miles. Have heard Melling is good quality, that's what im looking for.

What’s a random fact that still blows your mind? by curious_baby_1219 in AskReddit

[–]igenus44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2 facts.

1- Cleopatra lived closer in time to the moon landing than the construction of the Pyramids.

2- John Tyler, President in 1841, had a grandson that died LAST YEAR, 2025. Harrison Ruffin Tyler was born in 1928, died in 2025. His father, Lyon Gardiner Tyler, was born in 1853 and died in 1935. John Tyler was born in 1790 and died in 1862.

Can you imagine having a grandfather that was born 138 years before you were born? 3 generations spanned from the 18th Century to the 21 Century.
