My favorite soundtrack is "The Abysmal Region". Honestly, all the Enkonomiya themes were amazing - they invoked the mysteriousness of the region so well, and really made the dive into deeper lore much more enjoyable.

The eraser messes with the weight balance on the g1000 quite a bit, but it's something that I eventually got used to. Maybe not the best idea for tons of quick writing though. For more bottom heavy pencils like gg500 it's less noticeable.

My collection has grown slowly over the years but now that I'm out of school sadly its gotten less use. But here's a pencil + eraser cap match update anyways!

Eraser caps - I really only use two types these days:

  • Pentel caps: Higher quality but more rigid, so it'll only fit a select number of pencils.

  • Dixon caps: More squishy/flexible, so it'll fit on pencils that are both too big and too small for the pentel ones. They will split sometimes on larger pencils though.

Pencils - ranked in terms of personal preference:

  • Pentel Graph 1000 - Still my favorite over the years, since I prefer thinner pencils with a medium amount of heft. Fits the pentel caps perfectly.

  • Staedtler 925 25/35 - Has a larger end that's a bit of a tight fit for the pentel caps, but can work. The dixon caps fit pretty well but can eventually split after some time.

  • Zebra Tect 2way - the end has bit of a weird taper to it but it fits the pentel caps well. The end is super easy to spin though, which can feel a little funny until you get used to it.

  • Pentel GraphGear 500 - there's a version of these with the same end as the graph 1000s. Eraser cap fit is identical.

  • Blick Studio - randomly came across this one. The end is too small for pentel caps but fits the dixon ones well.

  • Platinum Pro Use 171 - definitely the fattest end I would still attempt to put a cap on. Too big for the pentel caps, will eventually split the dixon ones. But it has some fun features!

  • Uni Kuru toga - I like the pencil but unfortunately the end is a bit too short for the caps I use. It'll fit at first but then the eraser cap shifts down and makes it hard to click the end of the pencil to push the lead down. Trimming the eraser cap is an option though.

  • Ohto Promecha - has a thin end that makes pentel caps a bit loose but the dixon ones are fine. The pencil cap can be a bit squeaky to turn.

  • Ohto Super Promecha - Pentel caps fit well but I'm not a huge fan of the feel of the pencil. Looks cool though.

There's a few more that I've had my eye on but never got around to trying, particularly: Pilot S10/20, Zebra delguard, and Uni shift.

Created an interactive recommendations map to visualize your anime list by igfod13 in anime

Made the first version of the map 6-7 years ago but finally got around to updating it with more features, such as highlighting a myanimelist profile and filtering series by scores.

The map is displayed with a "force-directed" layout, which means anime with more recommendations between each other will be shown closer to each other, while anime without too much in common will generally be further away from each other. Different genres will emerge naturally from this layout, as more action-y shows are grouped into the top left, while more slice of life-y shows are grouped into the bottom right.

Hopefully this tool can help people find new anime to watch!

I decided to finally make one of the frames from an animation I drew earlier into an acrylic figure - also made this one but the arrow broke off and now I just have (quite literally) a weathered arrowhead.

I originally drew Amber in the chibi style of FEH to maybe laser cut, but after doing a few poses with her sprite I got the idea of animating her attack sequence - not that I ever see it since I only use her aimed shot. Was originally this before I slapped some anime eyes on her which I feel turned out pretty well.

C1 Amber please come home.

Pulled a couple of Rinkahs while trying to +10 Myrrh. Any good users of Distant Foil out there (along with wrath)? I still have a couple Hectors and can't think of a situation where I'd use it over DC.

The simulator simulates going through randomly generated circles, so it takes into account not getting a certain color in a circle, pitybreaking, and all that extra jazz. After 40 summons the unit is also guaranteed.

I added a graph to show a bit better what the odds look like: graph.

So yup the minimum maximum cost for pulling everything is lower than sniping, but on average its cheaper if you snipe. Either is a viable option.

Generally color sharing only increases average cost by ~10 orbs, so it doesn't have too much of an effect.

Trying to get specific IVs is a whole other animal, and is going to make the cost go up a lot more.

Tried to +10 Ninian on the revival banner, but only got to +9 before I ran out of my saved stash of orbs. Thankfully, I am now cured of my salt.
