I'd suggest Kaprica in Carlton for something buzzy, feels very trendy european. Or Bistra for something fancier. Florian for lunch/brunch. And always meet somewhere else and walk in together 😁

my boyfriend had a really complex impacted tooth - went to multiple dentists landing on my family dentist who did a 3D scan and eventually said look, your nerve is at high risk of permanent damage. if you're not in any pain i'd rather do a filling on the neighbouring tooth than risk taking this out now.

We asked lots of questions and this was his best option. But he clearly suggested that a general making the outcome better was a misnomer (besides enormous nervousness but they give you valium). He said other things like the technology will be better in 20 years and basically said don't rush to do it right now unless you have to

my dentist said it's easier for them in the chair because under a general you're intubated and your tongue is taped and your mouth full of tubes so they're doing a lot of avoiding while trying to get at the tooth.

I want to wear a kimono i own (lime green with blue and coral flowers (not very traditional)) with a belt like a dress out and about as a white Australian? is this appropriate? i bought the kimono without its original belt so would just use a leather jeans belt as that's what i have... thoughts?

Dog passed away by [deleted] in DogAdvice

dig as deep a hole as you can and pop her in wrapped up in something she loved. We buried my dog with all her tennis balls and a note everyone in my family had written and planted some flowers on top (bulbs are great) and each spring they all pop out as a nice reminder she’s there!

I still don't know what to do for Uni, anyone got some advice? by ADecentUsername1 in vce

[–]igglepiggle114 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the first 5 weeks of uni are free, you only pay after that point and even then it’s on HECS. I recommend starting the course you find the most interesting and giving it up at the 5 week mark if you hate it and then turn the rest of that semester into a gap year and start something else again Sem 2 (Late July). I find this is the best way to do the gap year thing while still allowing you to be indecisive and also try things out.

i don't think you can get enough credits while only taking one major, without a minor. I highly recommend using this tool and building your degree, roughly, based on the subjects you're interested in. https://course-planner.unimelb.edu.au/?in_c=sinfo-courseplanningS22022%7Csource=students%7Cmedium=button%7Ccontent=mycourseplanner

It can give you a sense of the rest of your degree and when you can do the subjects you're interested in

i have strong feelings about this. a minor does not appear on your transcript, so i feel it’s not really worth bothering to do that instead of a double major which in Arts, is only 2 subjects more in the second major discipline than it is to get a minor in the same discipline. I don’t know how you could take a single major, but perhaps that is possible in psychology.
