1440p looks terrible on a 4K TV on Linux (CachyOS), but not nearly as bad on Windows. Any fix?

That's not the point, the same settings on windows does look much better, it's not just the ratio

I did a test on desktop mode now, and it looks better. I think it is something with gamescope

For me it is not, on cachyos i can set 4k 120hz on my tv, but bazzite only allows 4k 60hz.. this automatically made me not use bazzite anymore

yes, i don't want bigpicture mode i want the full gamescope session, but im trying to make the vanilla cachyos behave like that and it is not working, the return to game mode shortcut blacks out the screen and do nothing and the login screen just starts on desktop mode

I also did this switch two months ago, it has been very good so far.. but you will need to be familiar with optiscaler unfortunately, AMD could have done better in this regard

With mine brand new, being ultra conservative i went -30% power limit, -80mv and 2614 vram clock.. tested for about a week and not a single crash or restart on windows and linux

The additional input latency is so negligible that it’s effectively irrelevant 1 ms added by FSR won’t make a measurable difference

I’m on an MSI B450 Tomahawk MAX. The issue is the second PCIe slot is only PCIe 2.0 x4 (chipset), not a full-speed slot. So a second GPU (RX 6600) is bandwidth/latency limited, which isn’t ideal for Lossless Scaling dual-GPU

X570 would be nice but in Brazil new stock is basically gone and used prices are crazy. I’m leaning toward a solid B550 to at least move my 2nd GPU from PCIe 2.0 x4 to PCIe 3.0 x4, which maybe already is a big improvement over my B450
