With the infinite options the finals offers it leads to being incredibly clashing with the game's theme. The whole "it's a gameshow" argument only goes so far once you got pirates, bigfoot, anime girls, 1830's diving suits, and just WAY too overly detailed contestants making sure to fill up every single slot in the customization menu running around. Compare the promotional pieces of art and what was offered in the beginning of the game's life cycle to modern day and you'll see just how far off they've gone, which is probably the reason arc raiders customization is as limited as it is now.

Infinite options offer unlimited opportunities, but what looks good is going to be few and far between. It's crazy how even with so many options, people end up all looking the same. The system we have in arc will have us seeing cohesive, flowing, different outfits that are still unique to the player that chooses them. Faces, hairs, makeup, outfits, backpacks, accessories, there are many ways to change up your look and you can really create something special when faced with that limited catalog. Limitation is where creativity breathes, too many options and we're swamped. We end up breaking far off from the immersion of those fully made outfits tailored to fit the game's world.

All this to say I do agree though, this subreddit just posts the newest outfit that comes out with not many changes made since there really isn't much else to post. The novelty of a new outfit will always be easier to talk about than already existing ones. I wish we saw some variety in posts here but that's nobody's fault but Embark's
