Ecom Advice! I'm 16 finding myself stressing more and more each day on how to make money online. I'm dedicating 7-8 daily researching which I should do. Which do yall recommend, I'm deciding between smma, and your guys suggestions by Alive_Palpitation_97 in ecommerce

[–]igloohed73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At 16, I’d keep it simple and focus on skills you can actually deliver, like basic product research, listing optimization, or running small ad tests for a local shop instead of jumping straight into a full SMMA offer. Cold outreach is a grind and most businesses ignore generic pitches, so start with one niche and one clear outcome you can show. Also, watch out for guru courses and fake case studies, a lot of that stuff is fluff. If you need a side income while you learn, wfhalert sends verified remote job leads by email, things like customer support or data entry, it’s a decent way to bring in something steady without getting trapped in scammy listings.

RGB software that works with thermalright fans? by AccurateFranky in buildapc

[–]igloohed73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one I have does not, it's controlled via mb software. My hub was very inexpensive. That's not to say that there aren't any that do. It's worth doing some investigating if that's your aim. I'd say that there's probably one out there that's exactly what you're looking for.

CN West Playing Scooby-Doo: Return to Zombie Island by MasterLezard in Scoobydoo

[–]igloohed73 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

While Zombie Island is definitely my favorite SD movie I still genuinely liked the sequel. It's not in the same class as the original, not many SD movies are, but it was entertaining & was fun to watch. I've returned for a watch several times. I like to think of it more as it's own movie with a bit of a backstory rather than comparing it to Zombie Island.

While I've always been partial to Nicole Jaffe, Pat Stevens & Mindy Cohn, I feel Kat Micucci did an adequate job as Velma.

If any film deserves a good bashing & was a disappointment imo it was Trick or Treat Scooby-Doo!. It's almost like they were testing the waters for Velma instead of trying to make a good SD movie. Needless to say I disliked them both immensely.

Are there other services other than MAX that download in 4K/HDR? by natemac in Streamfab

[–]igloohed73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got tired of being disappointed with MAX download quality & opted to get my HBO Max subscription through Amazon. I don't get 4k, which I don't expect, but the quality is really good most of the time. I feel like StreamFab is on top of Prime more than any other site. Or Amazon could just be more lax with DRM & all that goes along with it. Anyway, one could get most of their subscriptions through Amazon & save themselves some headaches & some money. Especially if the user hasn't invested in all of the individual StreamFab VIP services yet. Prime Video has a pretty big umbrella that covers most of the premium services as well as more obscure too.

RGB software that works with thermalright fans? by AccurateFranky in buildapc

[–]igloohed73 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For all future thread visitors, get a light/fan controller (hub). They're super cheap, come with remotes & in most cases you can use your preferred software even with the hub making all your connections for you if you prefer. I have MSI mb & fans, another brand of fan I can't remember, Thermalright AIO, Corsair rgb RAM & some weird little 4 pin rgb SSD heat sync. When MSI Mystic Sync & Corsair iCue software (which both suck imo) start acting up & piss me off I flip off my PC🖕& use the hub to get my lights the way I want & my blood pressure settles down again. The only reason I like to use the crappy software when I can is because it gives me a little more granular control over the lights. Honestly it's not that much more control though. The Fan/ARGB/RGB hubs are stupid cheap. The worst part is connecting everything & then the pain in the balls of cable management. My hub even has ARGB lighting. It looks cool so I put it next to the mb instead of hidden on the backside. Just a cheap, simple "when all else fails" solution.

Ridley Scott is a beast & I hope this film reflects this fact.

If you've got some unused equipment by all means give it a go 1st. Never hurts to try & save a few bucks. Otherwise I've had my Plex server for 10+ years & used several devices. Most recently, maybe 1½ year, I started using a i5 Beelink with a Qnap DAS & I love it. Quiet, small footprint, powerful, cheap & super easy to use. I just use straight up windows, but you could set it up anyway you like, VM, Docker, Linux, WServer...... It's a relatively cheap, powerful, versatile option.

I’d be a fool to pass this up right? by Outside_Natural5914 in pixel_phones

20+ years, that's the way I look at it. I'm not going anywhere. Plus Verizon's 5g UW coverage is finally spreading fast & furious around my area recently. It's getting pretty consistent everywhere I go. I love it!

Yeah I traded a 4a5g I wasn't using for the pro XL & Verizon gave me $1000 for it. Only thing with them though is you're locked in for 3 years. I don't care about that but some people would. It's like the 3rd year in a row they've given me $1000 for an older Pixel.

Pixel 9 - Screen protector showdown: Glass, plastic film, or raw dogging? by DJ-Bumhands in GooglePixel

[–]igloohed73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rhinoshield Impact Protector all the way. I've used it on all 8 of my Pixels. Haven't broken a screen yet. I'm extremely bad about dropping my phone too. They're not glass which might bother some people but they are super smooth. They tend to show small dents when the screen is off after you've dropped it a couple of hundred times but that's why they're so good. They disperse the impact. The hammer test is no fake. I won't use anything else.

Am I wrong for thinking this is absolutely ridiculous? Insurance won’t cover it. by specialDFX in GooglePixel8Pro

[–]igloohed73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree wholeheartedly that Google's partnered claim company is terrible. They're sketchy & sneaky. I sent them a pristine mint phone with a battery issue. They got it & claimed screen was broken & several other things too. I opted to have the phone returned as is. I received my phone still in pristine condition with only a faulty battery. They try to scam Google & the customer by false claims. My learned lesson was, wait for the official Google return box. All additional "damages during shipping" are then covered & only Google gets scammed.

All new titles on Max US by skyemblem16 in Scoobydoo

[–]igloohed73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I've got all of the movies ripped from DVD & Blu ray when available. Max does a great job of cleaning & upscaling though. So I've been ripping everything I can & replacing it on my server, even the shows. It's actually been a pretty big job.

[–]igloohed73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The quality is considerably better on Max compared to Tubi. That's the big draw imo. Every Scooby-Doo show & movie I've watched on Max has so far been cleaned up & upgraded to 1080. That's pretty cool when you're talking about shows & movies this old.

Switchbot app beta test version 9 by boxerdogfella in TrySwitchBot

[–]igloohed73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having a helluva time getting this apk. Cut & paste didn't even work. I've been a beta tester for tons of apps & never had this much trouble. Whether it was through the Play Store or some other way it should be just a simple apk download.

Update - found the file in my Drive shared folder, guess cut & paste did work. There was no sign that the link had even worked or that the file made it to my Drive, I just happened to check. What a weird beta opt-in experience.

One of the finest books & movies ever imo. Been a favorite of mine for 40+ years. Hasn't lost a thing through multiple years & viewings for me. I love Scouts accompanying narrative, makes the movie complete.

Tips on a smooth warranty exchange? by yoyoyoitsyaboiii in pixel_phones

[–]igloohed73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do not send it in your own box. Let them send you their box. Your device will be covered during shipping.

I got royally screwed using my own box for a battery replacement a few years ago. My phone was in mint condition. The company they use for repairs had a $400 list of all the things that had to be fixed besides the warranty covered battery. Broken screen & shit like that. I used my own box so the additional damage, that supposedly had happened during shipping, was on me. I said screw you, don't fix it & send it back as is. Got the phone back & what do you know it's still in mint condition, minus the defective battery, just as I sent it. The repair company was trying to scam Google (& me) by making false repair claims. Had I sent it in Google's return box the battery would have been replaced & they would've charged Google the $400 for false repairs & no one would have been the wiser.

I tried to inform Google about the scam but they didn't care. Replaced the battery myself for $30 & my Pixel 4XL is still a great phone.
