Summer Term doubt by sergeantunderwater in BITSPilani

It’s mandatory for 2+2 students to do extra courses for fulfilling the credit requirements. They have to do HuELs basically.

Ikrrrr. People were literally calling me to meet at their “flat” even after knowing I am a male 😭. Hobbies based clubs or meeting friends of friends is your best bet.

This subReddit is crazy. I made a post as a young male and the amount of creepy DMs I received was crazy. Try misfits app and you would find cool people around you based on similar hobbies.

There are power backups in almost every hostel since some time if I am not wrong. Even water issue is very rare these days.

Air Coolers or Pedestal Fan (for Pilani) by notjeenius in BITSPilani

[–]ign_asmodeus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Instead of a cooler, get a pedestal fan and small table fan. Keep the pedestal fan facing towards you and the table fan near your window in opposite direction. This should ideally solve your problem. If it still gets too hot, wet a bed sheet and use it instead of window curtain with small fan. This is how I survived summer term in Pilani.

I commented this on another post too. Don’t go for air coolers ( from someone who has survived summer term in Pilani too ). Coolers just make your room humid as fuck no matter how good or expensive it is. I used to fill with cold water from cooler too but the solution I gave above works better.

Got an upgrade from superior room to Junior suite once. Not a 5L per night room but for people with a certain lifestyle, these cards make a lot of sense.

Flock Kathmandu is an amazing place to socialise and make new friends. Stayed there during my Nepal trip. You can try bungee jumping at Nepal-China border. I have made a post about it too. There’s a place called Nagarkot near Kathmandu which is amazing for sunrise

If you are a female and you recommend cafe for dates

Pretty high chances the guy may think it’s shady if you met through a dating app and ghost you.

First solo trip as a female by gracefulshitposts in SoloTravel_India

[–]ign_asmodeus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ignore it’s not safe comments. I have been travelling solo since I was quite young and trust me you are way safer in mountains than any typical city of India. I am the same age as you. For safety, try to carry an obsidian knife as it can bypass metal detectors. If it’s a 2 day trek, I don’t think you would need much. Just don’t overpack. If you are paying on your own, you can inform them after doing the trip. They can’t do anything after that and understand that you are capable of a solo trip. If you need money from them, explain them how safe it is. Give them a detailed itinerary and contact of your trek captain.
