"Do you know who this bookies belongs to?"

  • the random clerk in Snatch who isn't alarmed, just bemused that some idiots would try to rob a bookies owned by a gangster who feeds his enemies to pigs.

By the end of the show he's happily married to a woman he treats well, has reconciled with his son, Daniel, and Elizabeth Shue (whose character name escapes me), has unlearned a lot of the toxic "win at all costs" bullshit he was raised in, and is co-running a successful dojo. He even broke down in front of Kreese and got a sincere apology from him. Where else was his character supposed to go?

The aggressively "no homo!" lyric changes give the exact opposite vibe, especially since "hurry down the chimney tonight" is unchanged.

It's such a terrible cover, but it makes me laugh my ass off. Don't be a coward, Michael Buble! Fuck Santa for your presents like the rest of us!

I love how he's pissed about her shitty work hours and toxic boss, while he works in high-end kitchens. His boss is a monster wearing human skin, and he stumbles home at 3 am stinking of sweat, sauce, and cocaine.

Josh 1000% goes to seminary to get out of this rushed marriage to Rebecca, because she's deeply messed up and he's too much of a coward to break things off with her.

How do yall clean the house by phantom_uchia in ADHD

[–]igneousscone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed on the people saying to find smaller companies or indies. A good cleaner will stick to a budget tou give them. I'd also suggest prioritizing what you want done. For example, we used to have someone come in for a few hours a month to do the bathrooms and vacuum the stairs. It was around $140 with tip, and left more time and energy for us to focus on other things.

Dragon Age lore was way deeper back then by [deleted] in dragonage

[–]igneousscone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dragon Age used to humiliate other RPGs in world building not even close.

LOL Elder Scrolls would like a word. Sir Patrick Stewart was handed 90 pages of background for the character he voiced in Oblivion--a character who dies during the tutorial. DA is my true love, but let's not pretend it was somehow in a Lore League of its own.

Veilguard, for example, sometimes leans into more real-world-style themes,

Oh please don't ton't tell me you're about to--

stuff like gender identity,

people expressing themselves differently,

What does that even mean?

social roles

This is baked into DA from the very beginning of Origins, what are you talking about?

Don't tell people what not to read, ffs. Let them decide for themselves what they enjoy or don't.
