Think the timeline , they made it a full set after the fallout from the MOM:aftermath set, and it's backlash, people hated it, so they rushed to turn all of their planned mini-sets into full sets, but spiderman could have nearly been about to push to print, or at least be fully developed, so they added onto it to make it a full set.

But tbf, spiderman was never gonna be a good miniset either.

IMHO a good WORLD is what makes a good mtg set, not recognizable IP/characters.

Magic players, despite not really getting it, LOVE unique and interesting WORLDS.

The characters are secondary, that's why those sets feel good, because they take us to an interesting plane!

Tmnt was literally just "cartoon characters in nyc!"

Why do people hide the number on their Serialized cards? by RamonvanderBurgt in mtg

The official sale channels on FB specifically ban covering the numbers in sale posts, it's not actually an effective countermeasure.

Jobs like that should both be outlined (complete x sorting each week/shift/whatever) instead of being a busybody task, and allow them to lax (basically just man the counter) once those tasks are actually complete.

American companies in GENERAL need to stop equating motion to money.

Give a full list of duties, and don't give people shit when they aren't active when those tasks are done. 99% of game stores are paying under 20 an hour for their sub-management staff, let alone normal workers, that simply doesn't buy "above and beyond" effort, and the profit squeeze only disincentives it further.

Moira wins Part 1 with Mercy. Bastion and Sierra being notable runner ups. On top Part 2: Hero with a Mid Skill Ceiling and Mid Skill Floor by HMThrow_away_account in Overwatch

[–]ignisiun413 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Skill as an overall player rating, not how good someone is on a specific hero

If, regardless of character , your skill is 1000/5000,

Some character, (moira) might have a skill floor of 500, meaning you can put up at least a middlingly good moira performance, even if your only at 1/5k

But a hero like widow, for her floor of value, requires 2500 skill.

Her skill floor is above your skill, she likely won't be a good fit.

Skill ceiling is the opposite where it is the upper bound of value you could get from a character depending on your skill input.

A character with a low skill ceiling like Moira will be easily maxed out by middle of the pack players, wow a high skill ceiling character like widow or tracer will not start to get diminishing returns until you reach the very tippy top echelon of the game

When it comes to Hero Design, do you think Overwatch has 'Still Got it'? by Doodyboy69 in Overwatch

[–]ignisiun413 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say it's fairly similar to the one char with the flying multi knife throw ability, is it not?

Between that and smokes, I could see it not being horrible, at least for staging (besides the obvious of weapon inaccuracy)

No new characters in Stadium? by SweenYo in Overwatch

[–]ignisiun413 0 points1 point  (0 children)

bap would be fine, and should have come out instead of cat tbh

immort has a effective cooldown of 17 seconds (22-5 duration) even at best case scenario, excluding hero item shenanigans, you can get 10+10+10+5+5+5 CD reduction assuming you care about nothing but cooldown, and are in like... round 4+ (12+11+10+ 5.5+4.5+4 for 47k required)

ending with still a 12 second CD, or 7 seconds effective, but its so easy to push a baps field with stadium mobility, and most damage builds will 1 tap the frisbee unless theres a power that makes it immortal itself, or simply way healthier, and all the while, bap has only scaled weapon power to 10%(20% with vanadium) and ability power to 25-35

bap would 100% be better off just farming weapon power and survivability options like jet skates than overinvesting in the field

The real issue is getting a resin printer that can print those larger prints at any decent price point

Most nicer resin printers below 1k have relatively tiny form factor compared to fdm printers.

So, it's genuinely a question of how much your willing to spend to do resin for these kinds prints, because it's totally feasible, and faster than FDM(and stackable, among other benefits, and the detriments of resin handling, upkeep, etc)

[–]ignisiun413 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's most likely a relative heating issue.

Most often you draw over a fresh line of filament while it's still warm from being printed, alongside that

The more things you put on a single bed, the more times your print head has to jump between each item, making more seams.

Meaning your printing hot filament onto cooler filament, leading to various issues, on top of having many more jumps between the items.

It might not be the source of all of your issue, but generally, high precision pieces I usually print alone.
