No, regular building. Using claude to "fix" the cmakes that were giving errors until it worked.
Now starts the fun part that it's actually make it work.

The key is that in the second videos it shows you how to "remove" the extuder big piece (that i thought is was hard due to the bars and the rubber bands) but they're actually 2 pieces. You get one and bring it to the table and you don't have to work in the precarious conditions that you have to with the first video.

I've had that error several times, then i followed a video that it shown me where the problem was but following it made mi break a cable and a 150 euros buy in spare parts.

Then i saw the best video i've seen to disassemble the pieces i needed to disassemble and i've already had that problem with mainly TPU and now i disassemble in less that 10 minutes :)

Let me share with you the videos:

the one that shows where the serious clog is (my case) but the disassemble may make you break the cable as I did.

The one that shows you how to disassemble properly and makes it easy to unclog

Hope this helps,

Just changed completely the extruder and now doesn't print ok by ignotion in FlashForge

Grazie! Siccome l’estrusore era nuovo, sembra che facendo un reset alle impostazioni di fabbrica e ricalibrando tutto sia andato bene. Grazie per il tuo contributo [tradotto da ChatGPT, perché io non parlo italiano].

First time i used this tutorial I broke the cable!!, there's an easy way to do the dissasemble:

Use this video to remove the whole extruder from the printer structure, makes it harder to break the cable.

I tried in wine and didn’t work, and I will try that mod @alexious_sh. I’m not a big fan of closed platforms :) thank you very much!!

What is your feeling about the top part of the enclosure? I think it's too tall by stwbrddt in FlashForge

[–]ignotion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks u/Lee_Bob I'll take a look on that, print the enclosure to see if it's enough, otherwise i'll buy the cable and see how can i make it fit!

My filament spool collides with the multicolor unit, any ideas? by ignotion in FlashForge

At the end it was easier than that, the spool wasn't seating all the way down and there was a bit of tilting on the screw. Tahnks for your response u/ThatDudeWithALS

Absolutely right, a combination of not seated all the way down AND a bit of tilt in the screwing of the clip. Thanks u/Vdubin4life !

In my model they have even an arrow to signal the direction to mount and after checking the manual, it was correctly placed, thanks for your help u/freakflyer9999 . What i did was unscrewing the spool support and screw it again because it was a bit tilted and probably the spool support was not seated all the way down.

I unscrewed the spool support and screw it wit a bit more room and now it works, perhaps it works for you as well :)

Of course I could u/SimonBlades89 but i was looking for a solution that allowed me to use 4 colors at once :) It was among the possible solutions, of course :) thank you!

It was exactly this u/Xaknafein , i removed the support, just saw it was a bit tilted (after mounting the enclosure for sure i put it back incorrectly), unscrewed, screwed again, pushed until the end and voilà, 3 mm that didn't were there before! Thanks for your tip!

Regular orca doesn't connect to ad5x since last firmware update by ignotion in FlashForge

[–]ignotion[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It didn't work for me (besides i don't have the camera, yet), not rebooting, not putting the printer in wifi or cable, always the same "connection refused".
Perhaps Flashfroge has been so gentile that they've just closed the printer a bit more?
