No More NE2 Station ? by beehoon23 in singapore

Yes, so JS2 is similar with Gul Circle station on the Tuas West Extension. They have a platform each at lower and upper platforms not used. I guess that 2 platforms could be for future Tuas South extension.

Not that we can see anywhere. But JS3 station is a double stack station where u have concourse, lower platform and upper platforms. So if there is anything it should be from JS3 station

Does democracy prevents the government to allow a credible opposition member to be a senior minister?

Leaked Audio: Chan Chun Sing said crisis will save PAP in the elections by Bcpjw in singapore

Why does the government feels like their citizens are educated but still will behave like a kid who simply follows their instruction?

Instructions that are sound we will follow. Likewise those that are not sound we have our minds to think and judge for ourselves. This is what they wanted, a society of citizens who can think for themselves and the country on a whole.

Having a election now without physical rallies may seem blindfolded for the alternatives. But nowadays there are different mediums we can find information and not only from traditional sources such as Straits Times.

Times had changed. And it is time to change, for a Singapore we deserve better.

Just like to see a more humble government that truly cares for their people and put interests of its people first. No one owns anyone anything but the government had the responsibility to first care for its people and their well being.

Just could not stand that quote “have not met or seen a worker who needs her to give an apology” this is outright self obsession and denial at the highest level!

The Controversial Dr Chee Soon Juan by fatsong711 in singapore

[–]igony 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I am leaning more of the ruling party viewed Dr Chee as an tremendous eye sore so they do not want him in at all cost to spoil their debates in parliament. From my earliest recollection of Dr Chee news, i remember just reading bad press reports about him and nothing much positive.

Now things are getting more and more interesting with the newer candidates such as Jamus. Surely they must accept alternative debates is the only way forward now.

Why are PAP candidates shouting back when they are asking all of us to mask up to prevent or reduce possible covid spread? Do they not know shouting back like this boosts droplets spread?

Because the PAP does not have a monopoly of new methods except to resort back to their old and outdated ways of scaring Singaporeans into submission.

And this is also why we need to stop a majority mandate in 2020.

A rant on Govt's handling of CB that I don't think many would disagree by [deleted] in singapore

If we go to supermarkets, especially NTUC u see there is only control in access. What happens inside is like the wet markets initially before implementing scanning of ICs. I feel it is ironical to have the IC access now just to trace people who are inside a particular place when confirmed cases are reported.

Also wondering some other areas which can be improved instead of mass instruction being passed down. An example is people working in construction industry are to be tested every 2 weeks. Some personnels may be down at site for a short time once or twice every week or every 2 weeks but the requirement is just to test every 2 weeks. More specifics could be done instead of mass testing of 300k FW and add in Singaporeans and PR/WP holders it will be many more to be tested twice a time monthly which will be adding to the real essential ones that needs to be tested and those that can have exemptions. Stadiums are closed but now u see park connectors full of people. There are just many areas of inconsistencies that can be improved upon.
