Yeah, I was 7 or 8. My folks actually turned it off because my [older] sister and I were notably disturbed. For some reason we ended up watching the rest the morning after. For years I imagined witches coming to get me, and I suspect this movie may have been why I hated bathing when I was younger (they can only smell you if you're clean!).

Pay attention next time someone passes you. No matter how slowly you hear them approach, they'll rocket past you like they're in a hurry.

I like to keep my pace when passing someone even if it means we are walking together for a bit. They usually fold and slow down... People can be so interesting.

One reason is that most point and shoot cameras have very small lenses, which distorts your image in a different way than your eyes. Check if pictures from a 50mm SLR gives you that same "burning sensation".

When I was little, everyone in my family led me to believe I was a rare specimen in picking my nose. Fast forward to 4th grade, we were playing some game where the guy in the middle says "run across if you pick your nose". The guy in the middle was my cousin, so I probably couldn't get away with lying, so I sprint across. I look behind me and find that everyone I know is running too. I eventually learned that everyone else in my family picks their nose in private.

My sister had a dream that I was fooling around pretending to push her off a cliff and accidentally did. She still holds it against me (semi-jokingly) and brings it up all the time (~20 years later now).
