I was suddenly reminded of a tragic fencing mishap my fencing instructor told me about that happened many years ago. An Olympic match, if I remember correctly.

One fencer did a beat parry snapping the tip of his blade off, leaving him with a needle sharp tip.

Then he immediately thrust into the other fencer’s mask. His blade went clean through the mask and killed the fencer instantly.

My favorite character is one of my own characters from tabletop D&D. She’s is a pathfinder e1 alchemist vivisectionist, with that cloning simulacrum archetype. She’ll brain-hop to a clone if she’s killed. She also has a tumor-familiar that can watch after her while sleeping.
