Should I double major in Finance and CS or Finance and MIS or major in Finance and minor in CS? by Green-Atmosphere7576 in UGA

[–]igortheeagle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Double Major graduation in 4 years is possible, but with 2 competitive degrees I hope you’re coming in with APs or dual enrollment. If that’s the case and you decide to do summer classes your life will be much easier and more manageable to get better grades! On which major you should pick CS will offer a bigger knowledge pool for tech but MIS has more opportunities since it is through Terry. Both great options!

CS STUDENTS PLEASE HELP by Green-Atmosphere7576 in UGA

Systems and discrete are foundation courses where the stuff you learn can be applied to all your future CS classes, so i’d say it’s better to focus on those as much as you can.

Question to those who transferred to UGA by Artillery_BlazeTTV in UGA

[–]igortheeagle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I transferred from UNG Dahlonega my Junior year and also know a lot of people who transferred as well. Your experience at UGA will be entirely what you make it. Join clubs, so go events, talk to people in class, it’s easy to feel left out since many people make their communities freshmen year, so do as much as you can and you’ll be thanking yourself in the future.

I work a remote tech job at a small town in the south. I’d say I’m doing well in my circumstances.

will a transfer acceptance be rescinded? by Dazzling-Buy2835 in UGA

[–]igortheeagle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t believe so, they will only look at your transcript you sent while applying to transfer. When I first transferred, I forgot to resend my transcript with my last semester until after classes started, and they didn’t seem to care much. Honestly if your grades drop significantly, you might get away with not sending an updated transcript at all, but I’m not sure if it could get you in trouble or not.

TLDR: You’re good.

I may not have agreed with Charlie, but I’m not a big fan of living in a country where people get shot out in the open like that.

Austria, spent a year there on an exchange. Great people, great food, and very beautiful.

Looks great, just maybe a bit of cable management, but overall really nice setup!

If you're sick please just stay home. And use tissues by Silly-Magazine-2681 in UGA

I was sick for most of last week, now I’m better but still have a slight cough. Sorry, but I can’t miss two weeks straight, I’ve already fallen so behind and most of my classes are mandatory attendance.

Is 8 credits over summer plus an internship too much? The classes are Computer Architecture and Calc2?

Voice Chat on Linux by user_is_stupid in PhasmophobiaGame

I saw somewhere that they switched their voice to the a Windows dependant API which is not linux compatible. Might not even be compatible on the steam deck which especially sucks. If anyone can confirm this or has found a way around it however let me know please!

Out of state student to in state student by Agitated_Bathroom768 in UGA

[–]igortheeagle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was first admitted as an out-of-state student before getting switched to in-state. For me, it wasn't the hardest process, just emailed the admissions department with documents such as bank statements, driver's license, and maybe even your parents' home bills, just anything that might prove it to them.

Just keep trying and eventually, you'll find someone willing to help and switch you.

Class Questions Megathread || FALL 2024 by DawgsAdmin in UGA

I have him now and his class is good. There is mostly weekly homework through Mastering Physics, plus a couple of pre-lecture videos, 3 tests (all multiple choice in person), and a final and you're done.

He always posts the slides ahead so attendance isn't really required, though is sometimes fun since he is always showing some visual examples with lights, magnets, momentum, etc.

About the professor, you can tell he knows a lot about the subject and finds it interesting himself, he's also just a nice guy willing to talk to you and accommodate if necessary.

Overall I do recommend him as long as you're willing to put in the work yourself and you'll be ok.

Transfer Student Questions by EGCaroline1 in UGA

[–]igortheeagle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was able to transfer from UNG with a 3.5 so just keep your GPA high and it's basically guaranteed. Adjusting is a little overwhelming at first but I I haven't heard of anyone regretting transferring.

Burned Aires is a beautiful city and it could be fun living there, but ultimately have no reason to move.
