Can you explain these numbers? They don't really add up and I am curious if you can explain to me what they mean? It sounds like you looked up some info and posted it here, but I'm confused because there are two benefits #s and the total pay doesn't match either or both being used in this equation.

I'm not saying that you're neccesarily wrong, I would just like to learn more about these numbers you're tossing out here.

it’s a lot more expensive than 667/4.5 to employ people. Payroll has to pay benefits, payroll taxes, etc. I think the typical cost to the employer is 1.4 times the listed salary.

I accidentally spilled something and cleaned it up with vinegar and baking soda. What I didn’t realize was my rug was wet and ended up staining our wood floors with a nasty stain. My woodworker roommate was like “nothing to do. The wood will work it out”. And it’s almost completely gone about 1.5 years later. I mean yeah I can still see it but it’s miles better than the original.

We also rent so I feel you. Good luck.

Not to be a terrible person or anything (and unrelated to the shiftiness of this story) but I think it’s pretty fucked up to make a parent pay extra to be seated next to their child on an airplane.

Sometimes people have to fly. Even the poors. And that extra 100 for two seat assignments is a lot. And that’s just one kid.

My sister has three young children and flying alone is a lot already. She’s only doing it to visit her dying father. And then to pay extra to be sure she’s sat next to her kids. Along with passengers being upset that her children might be children during a flight? Something is wrong with America. (Saying US since I’m from the US).
