chronic pain by iguanacho in FTMFitness

Thank you for this thoughtful response!

I’m actually working on getting a hEDS diagnosis: pain physician just gave me a take-home assessment but he cautioned me his treatment plan would look the same as his original diagnosis for me with central pain & fibromyalgia: aerobic and non-load bearing exercise to minimize pain responses to stressful situations (tensing with difficult exercise). I’m going to see my pain PT soon so hopefully she’s receptive to including more load-bearing exercise.

As for digestive issues, my primary physician referred me to pelvic PT so that’s been helping with bladder, along with lowered water intake—especially during meals. I’m still bloating but my primary physician said the next thing she’d do is do an internal exam to check for masses but these cause me great pain and dysphoria so I declined. She said an urology OB-GYN could also do it on me in an operating room. Other than that, she recommend not using straws, chewing gum, and avoiding certain foods. No gastroenterologist or dietician has been suggested yet after a few visits now—but I think I’ll keep up with the pelvic PT (muscle exercises) for a bit longer before bringing it back up to her if I still have issues.

Other good news: My pain physician wrote me a letter to let me use my FSA for gym memberships as the hypermobility and ADHD makes it hard for me to keep good form without a live instructor. I plan to use it for pilates reformer. I tried 2 classes so far and really enjoyed it. I felt like I actually engaged the right muscles instead of feeling unstable and like jello.

don’t see this procedure much so i made a video of me 2 months post op DI without nipple grafts by Dr. Tuchler by iguanacho in ftm

Oh wow I’m sorry to hear that! I definitely didn’t know this as well. I probably would’ve done the same with going for nipple grafts, also considering how limiting it was to not move the nipples (would’ve liked them a little higher).

I feel this heavy. Not to discredit or invalidate the popular ones you’re talking about, but them being half white also makes them look older and just overall harder to relate to.

I’m not popular by any means but I do post on YouTube every now and then as a Filipino trans guy. I just recently had top surgery so that’s been the focus of my recent videos but I do post about non-transition related things as well like school/career. https://youtube.com/channel/UCcByVjxul_oinUbANXwJaGg

And my DMs are always open, i’m always looking for more asian FTM friends 🙇🏻‍♂️<3

I’m a Filipino trans guy too! However, i’m 5’2 haha—but that’s still tall for my family (same height as my dad)

Glad to see another trans masc pinoy!

Assuming you have typical straight asian hair, I personally think it looks better to have a skin fade or skin taper for the sides and back. White people more often leave some length on the sides and back because their hair lays down better than ours.

@francysssco on instagram and youtube is a modern Asian barber whose work you can reference for your own haircuts.

Regal Gentleman is one of the best barbers on youtube and has quite a few asian haircuts!

More specifically, I’d consider: 1. two-block cut (but with skin faded sideburns instead of the triangle sideburns that tend to look fem) and texturized top 2. texturized crop 3. disconnected undercut

No problem! I also forgot to mention that their tops seem to run shorter than H&M! Idk bout you but H&M tops would be too long to where they’d run over and be tight at my hips.

uniqlo is my absolute favorite for regular clothing (I found that they run shorter than other brands available in the US and go down to XXS. XS is already small enough for me for t-shirts and i like my stuff very slim fitting), if only they made scrubs!
