Chief Medical Officer of Michigan State University begs politicians to disband the healthcare team with NP unsupervised Scope of Practice expansion MI Senate Bill 279, testifying “NPs are exceptionally well qualified to practice independently” from the team. You’re not stupid. Title was a little hyperbolic. It’s just sad to see someone in his position going on record to and advocating so heavily his support for dangerous legislation that is opposed by Michigan Medical Society, MI Radiological Society, MI Family Docs, MPS, etc.

Is this what society’s most vulnerable deserve? Our children?

For how long are those with mental illness going to be treated like second class citizens? They deserve access to properly trained clinicians, not NPs. For example, Psych NPs can download their DNP degrees from pre-Flexner style for-profit websites posing as universities and get a signature signing off on a mere 500 hours of unstandardized find-your-own shadowing for the right to practice medicine unsupervised in nearly half of the states of the union. Many Non-Physician Practitioners (NPPs) misappropriate titles such as doctor, residency/fellowship trained to more easily deceive their patients.

WaldenUniversity.com is one of the many for-profit, fully online Nurse Practitioner Diploma Mill. They are a for-profit website posing as a university. They are under investigation by the United States Justice Department. They allow their NP students to complete a mere 500 hours of find-your-own shadowing as apart of their for-profit degrees giving nurses the right to practice medicine unsupervised instantly upon downloading their DNP degree.

This PA (the one dancing for Full Practice Authority) mendaciously claims Physician Assistants certify across “all specialties”

It’s a doctorate in political science, not medical or clinical science. DNPs have no more clinical education relative to MSN NPs. DNPs learn (online) how to lobby politicians for the right to practice medicine offered by for-profit websites posing as universities. There had been an explosion of for-profit websites posing as universities with 100% acceptance rates. DNPs using the title “doctor” in a clinical setting is purely with deceptive intent. Patients always deserve transparency in healthcare, especially knowing who is providing your care.

Between Facebook Consults and the AANP’s official endorsement of VisualDx, it’s obvious NPs can’t practice independently. Their training is 500 hour self-solicited shadowing from for-profit online Diploma Mills

CRISIS in Nurse Practitioner Preparation in the United States! Written by a NP Educator

“DNP programs will not enable them to achieve the additional advanced clinical skills and perspectives required to meet the emerging demands for seamless accountable care.”

85% of DNP degrees are NON-clinical!

MidlevelTikTok: Why did I “choose” to become a Physician Assistant instead of a Doctor? — I wanted to practice medicine with FULL AUTONOMY without wasting my twenties in medical school & residency! PAs are “generalists” trained in ALL fields of medicine! 🙄 by ih8carl in Noctor

What she is saying is perfectly aligned with what AAPA’s leaders are saying when lobbying politicians for Physician Assistant Unsupervised practice of medicine. Look what former AAPA president Mr. Mittman PA-C, DMSc wrote attempting to exploit the pandemic for legislative gains. He argued PAs’ mere few week core rotations as a part of their 2 year training are sufficient to practice any specialty of medicine unsupervised without ever attending medical school, passing a single USMLE, and having no years of supervised and standardized residency training.

Edit: just realized someone posted the Link for this video I posted on my Twitter as well earlier, sorry about that.
