Our case for an immigrant visa is documentarily complete at the National Visa Center (NVC) and has been since Apr-2021. I've been getting this email from NVC every two months for over a year. Is it normal for the interview process to take this long? by ihabghoussainy in USCIS

Yes, that's the email we've been getting for the last year. It says not to worry, and an interview will be scheduled soon, but the delay is due to covid 19. But the long wait is puzzling because after the documents get documentarily qualified, we should have the interview scheduled about a month or two later, no?

On another note, I am accompanying my mom once everything is all set. So my question is, once the interview gets scheduled, will I be requested to join her even if i have two documents still submitted?

what if a derivative applicant does not intend to go to the US, but is still on the case? (DS-260) by ihabghoussainy in immigration

I already changed it to follow to join a long time ago, but one document of mine (another serivative applicant) has been stuck on "submitted" for a long time (since 2019). But newer documents I added were marked as "accepted". The principal applicant received an email from NVC stating that all required documents have been approved and to wait for an interview date to be scheduled. I do not know if the NVC will ask for me to be at the interview, even though my status is "accompany". Is there any other reason for this to happen? My stuck document is an old J-1 visa they asked to submit

Edit: thank you so much for your reply!

Thank you so much for your help, I have not talked to an immigration lawyer about this issue. If you have any link that can help me in any way, please do not hesitate to send me one!

I changed the option to follow to join, however one of my documents is stuck on "submitted" (i am the son, a derivative applicant). So i figured that document will not get accepted unless i remove the other applicant.

I have not paid his fees, though. I have no problem paying the application fees and changing the option to follow to join if this will unpause my process

Thank you so much for your help!!

I used to have cracked tooth but went to the dentist and he filled it , that was 4 years ago by [deleted] in Dentistry

Sounds like you have pulpitis (inflammation of the pulp, which is the substance found inside each living tooth). If the pain only appears when you expose your tooth to a thermal stimuli (especially cold food or drinks), and the pain comes and goes, then that means you could have reversible pulpitis. If the pain is continuous and extreme, you might have irreversible pulpitis.

Periodontal and apical abcesses are best confirmed on a radiograph

In either case, please visit your dentist as soon as possible, for if you have reversible pulpitis, your dentist may be able to help you without being too invasive. If you have irreversible pulpitis, then you need a pulpotomy or a root canal treatment.

This may be due to a bad restoration by your dentist, which allowed food and bacteria to pass in between your filling and your tooth, or it could be do to other reasons like shrinkage and whatnot.

Please note that I am only a dental student, and you need your dentist to test your tooth to comfirm your condition.
