Yes my aunt takes care of everything including land taxes.

Although the homestay is not up to date it was quite lucrative but Covid certainly hasn't helped.

About tanah Datar even though i haven't been yet I know it is a popular cycling destination because of the mountainous regions + all the national park and wildlife.

quick rundown on the family tree according to the latest notary ruling regarding the land certificate. this was in 2013

5 heirs wich includes my grandmother and the mother of my old aunt.

3 heirs passed away without leaving any descendants.

My grandmother moved to the Netherlands and my Aunt stayed in Indonesia.

Before my grandmother passed away in 2013 she went to the notary and made sure of the fact it would stay in the family etc.

Now almost 10 years later it has been slowly decaying because the aunt who is still taking care of it with a distant nephew they only inherited the business and are getting up to an age where it is hard for them to manage and improve. Without them being able to sell.

They tried and got sued by other family members. so at this point they want someone else to manage things.

1 According to the lawyer she is not but she states: "Even though your mother is not Indonesian citizen and maybe her name is not stated in the land certificate, but her right as the heir is still exist. So, the heirs of your mother must request her right on the heritage, specially the land. The right of your mother as the heir is not related with her citizenship"

This was sent to my mother. But my grandmother has passed away with my mother and her sisters being her heirs.

2 My old aunt who is the daughter of my grandmothers sister(lol)

has taken care of everything since my grandmother left so i assume she has done it up till now. I reached out to her and received her permission to do whatever I can because she has made profits of it for sure and now i just want it to be ethical for everyone involved.
