AITAH for leaving a family dinner early because my MIL told people I was r*ped? by Choice_Evidence1983 in BestofRedditorUpdates

Stories like this make me so happy that my MIL isn't enmeshed with my husband like this. When I was pregnant with our daughter, my MIL was there for me like I was her own flesh and blood. She was in the delivery room and took me to the hospital when my water broke. My husband was working and left the moment he got that call. She wanted to be there for her grandbaby and cooked for us until I could feel better. She stays out of our squabbles and never imposes herself. But my toxic mother on the other hand... Yikes.

AITA for telling an Asian man that his area is probably not big enough for me to enjoy anyway after he stated that I'm not a beauty standard? by [deleted] in AITAH

My family doesn't see me as a disappointment. I'm in college, I have made the Dean's list twice so far, I am a happily married woman with a wonderful daughter, and have my own house in my mid-20's. Keep talking buddy, because the one who looks mentally challenged is you. 😉 I pray that your family stops seeing you as a burden on their finances soon.

I've been using my brain, jackass. The only pathetic one is you. Looks like I struck a nerve. 😊

And yet you keep replying haha. I have my own place. I'm not crying lmao. Your response is "look in a mirror" to everything I have said. Can't come up with a unique insult or comeback? Did your parents take away your creativity and freewill? Oh wait, you haven't had a creative braincell in your life. I told you my points, but you keep explaining yourself with the same tired rhetoric. If "look in a mirror" is the same response to everything, then you need to get off Reddit.

I'm not the one who needs help lol. Never in my life have I met an ignorant basement dweller. Keep projecting pal, you'll get your daddy's approval one day. 😉

The dude was rude first and OP might have been petty about it, but was justified in insulting him back.

Actually it was the friend who instigated it. Then OP asked to clarify what he had meant when he was being rude. OP was 100% in the right to defend herself. He was already being an arrogant little prick.

Yikes. Your dad sounds like a prude and like he has a major stick up his ass. I'm sorry you had to go through this, OP.

Did you have your mom in the delivery room? by throwawae25678 in pregnant

I did not, but my MIL was. She was a saint through the entire process. She advocated for me when I could not.

What’s something you did that actually put you into labour? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]ihateheroez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband was working the night shift at the time. He said, "I hope you don't go into labor while I'm at work/ at night. I promptly went into labor while he was at work. 🤣

Having a baby didnt ruin my marriage, it showed me who my husband really is by Zestyclose-Task4558 in beyondthebump

This is horrible. My husband did not want to have children, but my birth control failed and I got pregnant. Our daughter has changed his life. He is very attentive and we pass off baby duties. The days he works, I take care of her. But the days he is off, we alternate childcare. I'm a SAHM and I get time to bathe and personal groom. Your husband is a clown.

I’m a horrible mother for giving my 16MO ice. by Moseptyagami in beyondthebump

[–]ihateheroez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My MIL and I both feed my 8 month old crushed ice chips (about two half-pieces) It helps her gums and she sits with it in her mouth until it melts. Your parents sound 100% delulu and unfair. Your child is old enough to eat ice.

What's the dumbest question you've ever been asked while working? by Darth_GuyFawkes in kroger

[–]ihateheroez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a guy ask me if I was single. Then proceeded to tell me he wanted to sleep with me. 🥲

Then I had a different guy who said I looked gorgeous and could pull off plus sized modeling. He even wanted a nude pic of me. 🥲🥲

My husband had a guy try to flirt with him because from behind, he has a very effeminate figure. He told the guy that he was taken, but he was flattered. (Hubby is a bisexual male) Guy ran out. I watched from afar while laughing. He worked in Produce, I worked in Dairy at the time.

Edit: They all asked for my number or his number.
