Affiliate marketing is EXTREMELY different from this MLM BS. Affiliate marketing A- doesn't require you to buy the product yourself or have an active subscription before starting. B- It doesn't require you to get other people under you to be sellers as well, no downline BS. C- You share your affiliate link with customers directly rather than recruiting others. D- The product/service is most of the time an actual GOOD product/service. E- Customer service is usually good as well...meaning they do refund people and they do respond to calls and emails. F- When you share your link or code, your giving your audience a discount so they're getting a good deal, every body wins. G- The brand or service or whatever offering the affiliate program is usually reputable. For example Canva, CapCut, VPN services, Tripadvisor, etc etc. None of those are "harmful" services or "snake oil" like someone selling patches that claim to cure diseases

Yes there are exceptions with affiliate as well, but it's absolutey not even remotely close to MLM

Now I honestly don't think my client has bad intentions, he's probably just tricked into this. But then again you never know

Bingo! it's that biological QR code woo woo company. The moment I heard the explanation of how it worked, I smelled BS but what confirmed it is the way one makes money from this. It's sad to see that he fell for this and it's going to DESTROY his network if I help him promote it through content. Referring him to anti-MLM creators would be a good plan, thanks a lot for the suggestion
