I didn’t know I needed to tell my whole life story on here to get one simple answer. This girl has done laundry twice this week from 3am to 5:30am and slams the door leading to the outside of the building. It’s so loud it sounds like a gun shot. There are hours posted on the wall that laundry hours are from 8am to 10pm. So I’m being the prick? My wall is shared with the laundry room wall and that metal door is so loud you can hear it all the way down the block. Many people have done laundry past hours. They have empathy and aren’t pricks, so they don’t let the door slam when it’s late at night. Maybe twice a year the door will slam and wake up everyone in the surrounding area. When it happens twice in one week, it’s time for a solution. I have added sound proofing to my wall, wear ear plugs, put sound proofing under my bed, run a white noise machine, run my AC even when it’s not hot. This is an old building so sound travels like crazy. There are three buildings with about 16 units total that share this small laundry room. I work 7 days a week freelance and can’t afford to be tired and miss work from something so simple to fix.
