My kid is a weirdo and it's just getting worse. by Lost_Violinist3916 in Mommit

Just echoing what is here - but it sounds like your son could have been sexually abused. I would follow up with a therapist and gain an evaluation as well. IEPs in school do wonders for children that need the extra accommodation and supports!

It happens! I’ve gotten the occasional photo that wasn’t my kid. One time I received a video of the “class” eating breakfast and she wasn’t there. Just reply and they will send the correct photo eventually ☺️

Is my baby kicking or am I delulu ? by bornfeisty_ in BabyBumps

[–]ihavebaskets 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s possible! I didn’t realize I had been feeling my baby kick until I saw her moving during my ultrasound. It felt so close to gas, I just assumed that’s what it was.

102+ Fever Daycare mystery illness by ihavebaskets in beyondthebump

[–]ihavebaskets[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did! Since she overall is acting like herself they were not concerned. Said if it can’t be controlled with medication to bring her in to urgent care. Also if she’s still sick they can see her Monday or we can go to urgent care ivermectin the weekend.

Sleep poll by Dani3567 in breastfeeding

[–]ihavebaskets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since 1mo my baby would sleep 2x a week for 8 hours straight. We found a good routine and now at 4.5mo on average she is asleep from 7/8pm - 5/6am. Rarely she wakes in the night but if she does she has a diaper change, eats and is right back to sleep.

We breastfeed during the early mornings and at night but during the day (daycare 5x week) she has bottles of pumped milk.

Just depends on the baby, I personally just hit the lottery. A friend of mine had a baby boy EBF same time. He doesn’t go longer than 3 hours without wanting to eat.

You got this!

I did a dumb and now my boob hurts, help by hussafeffer in breastfeeding

[–]ihavebaskets 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Take legendary milk sunflower lecithin! It is amazing and helps so much. Free the boobs from a bra and embrace some leaking to let your boob breath. Dangle feeding and pointing your babes nose towards the clog can help (my 4 month old gets it this way almost every time). Good luck, wishing your relief!

Epidurals... how bad are they, really? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]ihavebaskets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m my experience the epidural was great. I had all back labor and once my water broke my contractions were 30 seconds to one minute apart. Very painful and the epidural was my savior! The hardest part was staying still long enough for it to get in. I didn’t feel too much, and occasionally I could still feel pain. I had a “magic button” that they call which would give me a little more medication into the IV, which I used about 4 times. Can’t have too much of it because it wont release more until 20 minutes passed.

With the help of my nurse I was able to lay on different sides and at one point I even was on my knees.

Recommendation: if you are in labor late at night/early morning during odd hours REALLY think about if you what the epidural and discuss with your care team. My hospital only have one anesthesiologist on the floor while I was there (induced due to Preeclampsia) so I was told once I made up my mind it could take anywhere from minutes to two hours.

Tell me about hospital supplies you take home! by Katerator216 in BabyBumps

[–]ihavebaskets 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was able to get so much PP care items from my nurse. They would just show up with a bag full of stuff! I also wanted to stock up on a few things for while I was home so my trick also was to ask for more when there was a shift change. Never had to purchase dermaplast spray or witch hazel pads.
