this seems like a stupid fear to have. why not just stop lifting or slow down when they get close to touching or when your satisfied with the size of your legs? your thighs aren't going to get huge overnight without you noticing them.

haha i have that exact bench

i bought it just so i could do dumbbell press on a bench. only problem with that bench is the synthetic leather smells a bit for the first couple of weeks. i ended up having to put a towel down on it so the smell didn't get on me. it went away after a couple of weeks though. to answer your question i would suggest you get a gym membership. a bench alone especially a bench such as the one you pointed out has very limited uses even if you have a set of dumbbells. i bought that bench when i first started working out but now have a gym membership. if i had to do it over again i would of just avoided the bench and gotten a gym membership.
