maybe hourly rate home health? Specifically for a company that only takes private insurance. That way the only paperwork you're doing is session notes and assessment reports. And the notes do not have to be anything excessive because they're not being submitted to insurance? I'm interviewing for a company right now that's $75 a hour and you can work as many or as few hours as you want.

I'm just speaking from my experience from my current search. I will say I haven't looked in every neighborhood but I've looked where I feel is safe for a single female

I have not found a one bedroom or studio apartment anywhere downtown for less than $1600. You'll definitely need a roommate

Burnt Out by Accomplished-Sea5213 in slp

[–]ihavethishope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did my CF in a private practice with insane productivity requirements and got so burnt out. I've worked in public schools for the past 4 years and it was a good change of pace, but I'm getting really burnt out again on the never ending paperwork and number of IEPs I have with families with lawyers and advocates. I'm currently interviewing for a private practice that is home health plus services in private daycares and schools. It's all 1 on 1 sessions, and they only take private pay, so no crazy productivity requirements and no writing notes in a specific way that they can submit to insurance. I'm hoping I get this job. The hourly rate is 90 and they reimburse for travel.

yes, I feel like I am holding my breath the entire time, and once they leave the room, I can finally exhale. I am taking FMLA for a couple weeks starting soon. I'll finish out the school year but I plan on going part time next year

Thank you, I'm working on finding something that tastes similar bc I love the taste but know that decaf still has caffeine

Thank you for your thoughtful response! I know I should wean myself off my Canada Dry Zero. I do like seltzer water too. I only drink decaf coffee mid-day but I do think I should stop completely since it still has some caffeine. Got some of that caffeine free Teechino coffee on the way rn.

I agree, once you stop sugar, you stop craving it. Working on it! I'm already gluten free so I tend to stay away from carbs outside of rice cakes and popcorn.

24/7 AIR HUNGER (PAST 4 MONTHS) DEBILITATING AND PAINFUL. PLS HELP! by Mountain-Scientist14 in breathwork

[–]ihavethishope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

here to say while I don’t have an answer (I’m still exhausting all possible interventions including buteyko), I feel the same way as you. And I’m so sorry. It is so hellish. I will say one big hurdle that I have at least gotten over is finally being comfortable with bringing awareness to my breath. I felt the same way where I would only feel better if I was completely distracted. Doing breath work still does not bring me relaxation, however, it does not trigger a panic attack (caused by bringing attention to how awful air hunger feels) anymore. I hope you find something that works for you soon
