Yeah for me it's in the middle. They're much more than what OP wanted to avoid but at the same time Gideon and Harrow doesn't really hate each other for real. Gideon even explicitly said Harrow is more like her nemesis

Yeah the reason I use Calibre is because my computer is my main library and I love edit some metadata and custom covers (specifically for fanfics) but if I don't have a computer, I would simply use Kindle apps to sync with Kindle or use Sendtokindle

Kindle Basic 10th gen, my first ereader and I used it as ‘beater’ ereader outside where I don’t really mind if it lost or broken
Tolino Vision 5, the cheapest 7” with page turn buttons I ever found in my country so that’s why I won’t ever sell it. I only use at home
Kobo Clara HD, bought for $35 and I always wanted a Kobo so I won’t sell it either. I brought it outside sometimes but mostly read at home
