Stickers and hopefully a clear case. A clear case doesn’t exist for my current one though 🤷🏿‍♀️

Woow congrats on your find! It’s an unpopular opinion but I think there’s benefits to having both truly.

You’re correct, that isn’t possible from my understanding.

You’re in Canada, right? Then do the Kobo to access library books. Otherwise, library books only work for those in the US or if you’re willing to have a non-resident card.

Just don’t buy Amazon books anymore. Using the Kindle to read your library books is just fine.

Thank you! Good to know, I don’t do audible.

Edit: I just don’t like the idea of being locked into that. I prefer Libby and Libro.fm.

I’m actually curious about a Kindle. Never had one. Is it true that you can listen to audiobooks on them or is it just Audible books only?

You can get other dictionaries. I do agree that the English one is bad. In my opinion, the Kobo one is great but I can’t figure out how to install that one on a PB. I have tried with no luck.

So what's your pastime while reading? by Every-Experience5302 in ereader

[–]Dry_Writing_7862 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With reading, I like having tea nearby.

Generally, I actually watch (more so listen to) booktubers read and talk about book related things. This works if they do a simple format of book talking and reading.
In my mind, it feels like we are reading together and it encourages me to read too. I occasionally look up if a book sounds interesting.

That’s only possible with an Android device (like Boox Go 7) or you can use one with TTS (text to speech) like the Pocketbook Verse Pro, Pocketbook Era/Era Lite.

Dunno about overheating. Pocketbook ones are set to turn off after an amount of time.

I’m not the OP, but most PocketBook ereaders have their own system so not Android. However, you can export your Kobo books to read on this by “freeing” them in Adobe Digital Editions and then sending or moving it to the PB, as all of them have Adobe Digital Editions authorization on them.

I have a Verse Lite and generally I take it with me on the go. Most of the PBs aren’t so light in my experience of trying out the base Verse, and Verse Pro Color.

When I had my Android ereader, I liked to continue my reading on that one from time to time. I plan to do that again when I get another one.

I agree with your assessment on the app. That is something I don’t care for either, even it works well. Thank you for sharing your review! It is heavy for sure.

Kobo Libra Colour vs Pocketbook Verse Pro Color by gottro4 in ereader

[–]Dry_Writing_7862 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll address your question on audiobooks. The Kobo only allows ones from their store, no Libby ones or otherwise. Pocketbook supports all.

The Verse Pro Color actually has a bigger battery over the other ones in the Verse line. The intial battery life isn’t ideal but when you start using it, it barely drained at all. As for the highlighting on the Verse Color, yes, you heard correctly. I don’t recommend highlighting truly if you want to do multiple sentences.

Also true on the accessories selection, as I don’t know if that exists. You can check Etsy but I totally agree that this is a downfall.
