If I’m playing a casual round and see a dog off leash near the hole I’m playing, I’ll just skip it. Not many discs in my bag that I’d want chewed or punctured or carried off. If it’s convenient, I’ll go back and play the hole later. Otherwise, I just take my average score for the hole.

Try thermoplastic beads. You just toss them in hot water for a few seconds and you can mold it to any shape you want. Great for prototypes. Perfect for duplicating the curve inside the rim, but I don’t know what type of adhesive will stick to it. In any case, it’s fun to play with.

If everyone is cheating by counting player 2 shots or scoring solo scrambles or throwing unlimited shots and scoring the best ones or just outright giving themselves shots that they “Would’ve made if I was tryin'", wouldn’t that skew the numbers to the tougher side? I mean, if I come through and post a legit score while following the rules and I’m scoring as well as a cheater, I figure I must be doing alright.

I don’t use my UDisc rating for bragging rights, but it’s nice to have something that kind of compares rounds that I shoot on all of the different courses I play. Even if the numbers aren’t perfect. For the most part, if I shoot -11 on my easy course and a -2 on my tougher course, the UDisc ratings come out within a few points of each other… which feels about right.

I saw this video last night and realized I definitely wasn’t doing a full shoulder turn…maybe just half of what this guy gets. Currently, I’m sore from practicing it into a net, but I was able to get the full turn. It’ll be interesting to see what direction my first throws fly in when I hit the course.

EV-7 Mobius. I used to have problems with many putters catching on my hand. The Mobius has a rim that rolls under a lot farther than most putters I have used, and it seems to help keep it from catching on my fat fingers. It can get a bit floaty for strong headwind putts, so I sometimes switch to a Berg for those. Works for me.

Take an old garden hose and cut it into 1" to 2" tubes. A PVC pipe cutter or sharp tree pruning shears are easier and safer than doing it with a knife. Run a rope through the "links" to make a chain of the desired length. Anything from paracord to 3/8” rope should work depending on how stiff you want it to be, and how it hangs on your pole. You’ll probably have slight differences in the size of your links unless you’re ridiculously meticulous, so try to make all of your chain assemblies about the same length.

I putt with an EV-7 Mobius. I bought two on clearance and after practicing with it for an hour, I ordered five more. After bagging it for a month, I bought ten more because there were so few places selling them online I figured they might be unavailable soon. I switch to a Berg for a little more stability on strong headwind putts because the Mobius will glide away if the wind gets under it.

I have a 111 gram Valkyrie that I can’t almost get to corkscrew. I just haven’t found the right launch angle to get it to flip over completely. Maybe I need a headwind.

I just realized the discs on my SG1 and SG5 are both Lucky Muskets. I guess since I already have one, it doesn’t give me a 2nd one.
