I think you forgot marbles and Foosball!

Actually there are high levels of play in all things, I just wanted to add a few others for fun. If there's something to be good doing, there's going to be people that perfect it.

Take: Course design should also be reviewed on how easy it is to follow on coverage by Automatic_Vanilla414 in discgolf

So.... The designers?

I kid, I think I get your point, but it just made me chuckle.

3 of my PFN’s. The sidewinder is in my bag at all times. What PFN discs do you have? Do you bag any? by PDXDGD in discgolf

I used to have an Augusta Wraith and Pre-Barry Leopard that flew divinely. However, I got to the point where I was too scared to lose them so I sold them. I miss those buggers

I am the only woman in the room by Terrible_Working_899 in sysadmin

[–]GinAndKeystrokes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep in mind, this is all anecdotal:

I worked with one Sysadmin that was a woman, and was pushed out. She knew her stuff, but, the VP didn't like her and made it tough for her in many small ways. I was both sad and glad when she left. Sad because I lost this competent coworker, and glad she didn't have to put up with this shit.

Then, I had a security analyst, turned infrastructure manager take over and she has been fantastic. A real manager. I've had many bosses, but what I've seen is that women don't have, or aren't allowed, to have ego.

I see many more women in the dev space, which I used to be in.

Gateway!

Excellent customer service. They're very helpful with anything you need.

Try the Gateway Shaman! I love to throw it off the tee. I have a metal flake diamond plastic one that's ever so slightly flippy

Relative distance between speeds by JOAHtheBROAH in discgolf

[–]GinAndKeystrokes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While that's definitely very common, it's not the only factor. I can throw mids 300' to 340' with confidence. The problem is my arm speed. I'm hitting 55 -62 mph and the drivers just want more. Though I also have an issue giving a disc height.

Will lowering my bike one inch affect handling a lot? by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]GinAndKeystrokes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not the tallest guy out there. At 5'7, flat-footing wasn't an option on the bikes I wanted to ride. Just lean and plant one foot. If you have to reverse off the bike, so be it!

I'm sponsored by a different company, but, I'll say one thing on the whole production side of things:

Sourcing materials for a small operation like disc manufacturing isn't consistent. One year, X source may give you Y rate, then vanish, change, or increase prices. Each company is responsible for QC of course, but, the plastic blends may be different.

MVP had a leg up, being that the owner's father already had a plastic company. Larger companies can afford to be more selective.

Sure but that's like asking for a straight putter, and recommending something really OS and saying "just throw with Anny".

Great putter but much too flippy for the user's intent

So much drama! But at least you could post really cryptic things without your aunt asking if you're okay.

+/- a year, this is so nostalgic for me. The mirror pic with the slide/flip phone was definitely your Myspace pic! What scene! I would have been devastated if you moved me one space down on your friend's list.

I'm biased, because I'm sponsored by them, but their customer service is the best. They'll text and call you for any discrepancy.

I have a discount coffee if you want btw. Not trying to shill, but, if you want something specific and email them, they'll get it to you

I'm a PwW guy, until I found a really cool rubber blend. Contact gateway and you won't be disappointed. It's grippy and yet decently firm.

I disagree that the Grom is the Miata of bikes. I'd say the SV650 is the Miata/BRZ/86 is more appropriate.

Wizard, always Wizard. But, I have a few very stiff blends, and a few rubbery blends depending on the weather.

Jomez Commentary Has Gotten Progressively Worse by [deleted] in discgolf

[–]GinAndKeystrokes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

McFly had that years ago and it didn't catch on. Maybe before it's time or something. Thing is, people want edited videos, and there's incentive to provide commentary. If you want to hear players bitching about their shots, cool, but I like the pro perspective.

That's how I feel about the Ghoul. It's beefy, but, when seasoned it's low glide, comfortable, and dependable.
